蘋果董事會(huì)8月25日宣布，蘋果CEO史蒂夫·喬布斯 (Steve Jobs)辭職，董事會(huì)已任命前蘋果COO蒂姆·庫克(Tim Cook)接任蘋果CEO一職。一個(gè)時(shí)代結(jié)束了，這位二十一世紀(jì)頭十年最偉大的CEO，終于走到了職業(yè)生涯的末期。

On August 24th,2011,Apple’s Board of Directors announced that Steve Jobs has resigned as Chief Executive Officer,and the Board has named Tim Cook,previously Apple’s Chief Operating Officer,as the company’s new CEO.Jobs has been elected Chairman of the Board and Cook will join the Board,effective immediately.

2011年8 月24日，蘋果公司董事會(huì)宣布，擔(dān)任首席執(zhí)行官的喬布斯辭職，董事會(huì)任命此前蘋果公司的首席運(yùn)營官蒂姆庫克，為公司的新任首席執(zhí)行官。喬布斯已經(jīng)當(dāng)選為董事會(huì)主席，庫克將加入董事會(huì)，立即生效。

“The Board has complete confidence that Tim is the right person to be our next CEO,”added Levinson.“Tim’s 13 years of service to Apple have been marked by outstanding performance,and he has demonstrated remarkable talent and sound judgment in everything he does.”

Jobs submitted his resignation to the Board and strongly recommended that the Board implement its succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO.

喬布斯向董事會(huì)提出辭職，并強(qiáng)烈建議董事會(huì)執(zhí)行其繼任計(jì)劃，任命蒂姆庫克為首席執(zhí)行官。

As COO,Cook was previously responsible for all of the company’s worldwide sales and operations,including end-to-end management of Apple’s supply chain,sales activities,and service and support in all markets and countries.He also headed Apple’s Macintosh division and played a key role in the continued development of strategic reseller and supplier relationships,ensuring flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace.
