Wang Keqing was born in Hanshan county， Anhui province in 1933. He got hisundergraduate and graduate degrees from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1950s. From1961 to 1963， he went to Leningrad for further training. Mr. Wang is skilled in sculpture andChinese ink and wash painting. Many of his works have been collected by agencies andindividuals all over the world. More than 70 pieces of his academic dissertations have beenpublished by periodicals and books. And in 1999， he published the Wang Keqing Works Collection.Now he is a professor of CAFA， the head of China Sculpture Research Institute， the honorprofessor both of Repin Academy of Fine Arts and the Academy of Arts Design， TsinghuaUniversity. He honored the medal of “Russian Pushkin Culture” by the Ministry of Culture ofRussia in 2002.
