——中美文化論壇舊金山開幕

中美兩國定期對話機(jī)制之一的第二屆“中美文化論壇”于10月15日在美國加州大學(xué)伯克利分校開幕。中國文化部副部長王文章、美國國家人文基金會主席利奇出席了開幕式，并分別致辭。

此次論壇為期兩天，由中國藝術(shù)研究院和美國加利福尼亞州立大學(xué)伯克利分校承辦。中國藝術(shù)研究院藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作研究中心研究員、著名作家莫言，北京師范大學(xué)藝術(shù)與傳媒學(xué)院副院長于丹，美國耶魯大學(xué)教授金安平、喬納森斯·賓塞和美國哥倫比亞大學(xué)教授安德魯·德爾班科等中美雙方30余名專家、學(xué)者和藝術(shù)家就中美文化比較、中美文化交流等論題進(jìn)行了討論。

王文章在致辭中回顧了中美兩國200余年的交往歷史，積極評價了兩國文化交流的意義。“文化交流不但能溝通兩國人民的心靈與情感，增進(jìn)理解和信任，還有助于維持中美兩國關(guān)系健康穩(wěn)定發(fā)展?！?/p>

舉行中美文化論壇，標(biāo)志著中美兩國文化交流與合作正在不斷深化。此次論壇以“跨文化雙邊對話”為主題，旨在從文化藝術(shù)的各個領(lǐng)域，全面回顧中美交流的歷史，探討兩國文化交流的現(xiàn)實(shí)路徑，展望中美文化關(guān)系發(fā)展的未來，通過多途徑文化交流，增進(jìn)中美兩國在社會文化和科學(xué)技術(shù)領(lǐng)域中的交流與合作，從而推動文化的多樣性協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展，開辟中美文化交流與合作的新境界。

利奇表示，文化交流比其他各個領(lǐng)域的交流都更為重要，其他領(lǐng)域的交流可以看作是文化交流的一部分。他說，出席此次論壇的是美中兩國高層次的專家、學(xué)者和藝術(shù)家，他們在自己的學(xué)術(shù)和藝術(shù)范圍內(nèi)具有相當(dāng)?shù)奶栒倭痛硇?，相信兩國與會者的交流對促進(jìn)美中兩國人民的相互了解具有重要的作用。

“中美文化論壇”是根據(jù)2008年中國文化部同美國國家人文基金會簽署的《關(guān)于鼓勵人文學(xué)科學(xué)術(shù)性研究和文化遺產(chǎn)保護(hù)合作事宜的諒解備忘錄》而舉辦的，其宗旨是為中美兩國在文化領(lǐng)域建立一個公共性、學(xué)術(shù)性、互動性的定期對話機(jī)制，通過此機(jī)制探討文化藝術(shù)的發(fā)展方式和文化遺產(chǎn)保護(hù)等問題，加深中美兩國在文化藝術(shù)和人文科學(xué)領(lǐng)域的了解，促進(jìn)雙方在文化藝術(shù)和人文科學(xué)領(lǐng)域的友好合作，推進(jìn)兩國的文化交流得到全面、持續(xù)、深入的發(fā)展。2008年12月，以“數(shù)字化時代的文化遺產(chǎn)保護(hù)和展現(xiàn)”為主題的首屆中美文化論壇在北京舉行。

The them e o f this fo rum is ca lled “The Bila te ra l Dia logue” to review the exchange histo ry o f two coun tries in a com p rehensive way from eve ry fie ld,exp lo re the p rac tice pa th o f their cu ltu res, look ahead to the fu tu re o f the deve lopm en t o f Sino-US cu ltu ra l re la tions and opened new doo r fo r Sino-US cu ltu ra l exchanges and coope ra tion.

Leach said tha t cu ltu ra l exchanges a re m o re im po rtan t than any o the r a reas o f comm un ica tion, comm un ica tion in o the r a reas can be conside red as pa rt o f cu ltu ra l exchanges.
