There are different versions as to the origin of April Fools Day. The most widespread theory links the day to Gregorian calendar reform while others involve mythological legends or anthropological explanations.
April Fools Day is the only day of the year when you can play tricks on people and neednt worry about them getting angry! One of the most classic pranks is as followed. About a week before April Fools Day I told my children I was thinking of painting walls in the house. When they came home from school on April Fools Day I had a sign on the front door “WET PAINT—please use the back door”. When they walked around the house to the back door I had a sign that said “WET PAINT—please use the front door”. You can peek（偷看） through the window to see their reaction. You can then open the door and say “April Fool”!
It is said that early April is the season for young fish. Not only are they easier to catch, but they are more tender and fresh in early April than in other seasons. Accordingly, the young fish makes a perfect mascot（面具） for April Fools Day. These fish postcards will bring you hours of fun and entertainment. Come on, take a look!
關(guān)于“愚人節(jié)”的來(lái)源有各種不同的說(shuō)法，最廣為流傳的便是與一群不愿接受公歷紀(jì)年的法國(guó)保守者有關(guān)，盡管還有其他各式各樣的版本：如神話傳說(shuō)或者是人類學(xué)方面的解釋。
愚人節(jié)是一年中可以來(lái)惡搞別人而你卻不必?fù)?dān)心他們會(huì)生氣，下面是一個(gè)頗為經(jīng)典的例子：大約愚人節(jié)的一個(gè)星期前，我告訴孩子們我要粉刷家里的房子。當(dāng)他們?cè)谟奕斯?jié)那天放學(xué)歸來(lái)的時(shí)候，在前門上我寫(xiě)著“油漆未干，請(qǐng)走后門”，而當(dāng)他們走到后門的時(shí)候，同樣我在后門上標(biāo)記“油漆未干，請(qǐng)走前門”。你可以透過(guò)窗戶偷看孩子們的反應(yīng)，隨后我打開(kāi)門，對(duì)孩子們說(shuō)道“今天是愚人節(jié)”。
