1．One day，a little donkey left his mother and went out to play alone．As he was playing happily near a river，a hungry wolf came at him．

一天，一頭小驢離開媽媽，獨自去外面玩耍。正當(dāng)他在一條河流旁邊玩得高興時，一只餓狼向他撲了過來。

2．Butthelittledonkey wasn’t frightened at all．He said，“Mr Wolf，you can’t eat me．I have just got a thorn in one of my hoofs．When you eat me，the thorn may prick your mouth．Could you help me pull it out first？

但小驢一點也不害怕，他說：“狼先生，你不能吃我，我的一只蹄子剛剛扎進了一根刺，當(dāng)你吃我時，這根刺會刺著你的嘴的，你能先幫我把它拔出來嗎？”

3．“Ofcourse，”saidthe wolf．Then he put down his head close to the donkey’shoofand began to look for the thorn．

“當(dāng)然可以”，狼說。于是他低下頭靠近小驢的蹄子，并開始尋找這根刺。

4．By surprise the little donkey kicked the wolf with all his strength．The wolf was so badly hurt that he had to run away． The clever donkey saved his own life．

冷不防，這頭小驢猛力向狼踢去，狼受了重傷，不得不跑開了。這頭聰明的小驢挽救了自己的生命。
