一、 Asking for directions 詢問(wèn)方向

1.在向?qū)Ψ酱蚵?tīng)情況、征徇意見(jiàn)時(shí)，常用Excuse me. / Sorry to trouble you.意思是“請(qǐng)問(wèn)”、“勞駕”。

2.詢問(wèn)方向時(shí)可用多種方式表達(dá)同一個(gè)意思。以詢問(wèn)去郵局的路為例，可以用以下幾種方式：

（1）there be 句型

如：Is there a post office near here ?這兒附近有郵局嗎？

肯定回答：Yes， there is.

否定回答：No， there isn’t

（2）where引導(dǎo)的特殊疑問(wèn)句

如：Where’s the nearest post office?最近的郵局在哪兒？

肯定回答：It’s...（根據(jù)實(shí)際情況進(jìn)行回答）

否定回答：I’m sorry， I don’t know.對(duì)不起，我不知道。

（3）which引導(dǎo)的特殊疑問(wèn)句

如：Which is the way to the post office？去郵局的路怎么走？

（4）how引導(dǎo)的特殊疑問(wèn)句

如：How can I get to the post office?到郵局怎么走？

（5）“Could /Can you tell me...？”句型

如：Could/ Can you tell me the way to the post office?你能告訴我去郵局的路嗎？

二、 Giving directions 指點(diǎn)方向

1.It’s opposite the post office.就在郵局的對(duì)面。

2.It’s only a ten-minute walk from here.走10分鐘就到。

3.Go straight ahead until you come to a wide street， then turn left.一直朝前走，到一條寬街時(shí)，然后向左轉(zhuǎn)彎。

4.Go down this street， then turn right at the second crossing.沿著這條街走，到第二個(gè)十字路口右拐。

5. Go straight along this street to the traffic lights.順著這條街一直走到紅綠燈處。

6. Take No.26 bus， and get off at the People’s Cinema stop.坐26路公共汽車，到人民電影院站下車。

7. It’ll take you about half an hour to get there.到那兒要花費(fèi)半小時(shí)左右。

8. I’m going there myself. Let me lead you the way.我自己也要去那兒。讓我給你帶路吧。

注意：到最后別忘了向?qū)Ψ降乐x。即使對(duì)方?jīng)]有給你指出方向，你也應(yīng)該說(shuō)：Thank you all the same.
