LinZhi and Joe have recently graduated from university， and are discussing the trouble they are having finding jobs.

Joe: So， how's the job-hunt going?

喬：你工作找的怎么樣了？

LinZhi: Ugh， don't get me started. It seems that there's absolutely nothing out there that doesn't require three years' experience.

Joe: Tell me about it. How the hell do they expect you to get three years experience in the first place， if they won't hire you unless you've already got it? It makes no damn sense.

LinZhi: I can see where they're coming from. After all， it saves them having to completely train new staff. Doesn't make it any less irritating， though.

林芝：我知道怎么回事。畢竟這樣一來，他們省去了培訓(xùn)新員工的成本。但是，這還是很氣人。

Joe: The other thing I keep running up against is that now everyone wants a Master's or a PhD. Seems that a Bachelor's degree isn't enough any more.

喬：我遇到的另一件事就是現(xiàn)在每個(gè)人動輒都想要碩士、博士。好像本科學(xué)歷根本就不行了。

LinZhi: Well， they do say that nowadays so many people have BA's and BSc's that they're pretty much worthless. It means very little to just have the piece of paper saying you've done three or four years at University. Now it's all about experience， and specialised qualifications.

林芝：嗯，他們是說過現(xiàn)在太多人有學(xué)士學(xué)位，越來越不值錢了。也就是說，只要你在大學(xué)混個(gè)三、四年就會有個(gè)文憑?，F(xiàn)在全是要經(jīng)驗(yàn)和職業(yè)資格的。

Joe: Sod that for a lark. I'm already up to my eyeballs in debt as it is. It's getting to the point now that I'll take just about anything， just to get the bills paid. Seriously， how can they expect people to just shell out more cash for a Master's degree? It's a joke.

喬：真是受夠了。我每個(gè)月都要還債?，F(xiàn)在是份工作我就要，先把錢還了。說真的，他們怎么能指望人們給研究生多付錢呢？真是開玩笑。

LinZhi: So where have you been looking for jobs?

林芝：那你都去哪兒找工作了？

Joe: You name it， I've looked there. I've been on the Internet， read through magazines and newspapers， sent my CV to just about everyone I can think of. I've spoken to my tutors， and my parents， but it never seems to come up with anything.

喬：你說吧，我應(yīng)該都去過了。我在網(wǎng)上、報(bào)紙、雜志上找，把簡歷發(fā)給所有我能想到的人。我和我導(dǎo)師還有我父母都談了，但是好像都石沉大海、音信全無。

LinZhi: Keep it up. I'm sure there's something. Have you considered moving away? Like， abroad or to other cities?

林芝：堅(jiān)持住?？隙〞羞M(jìn)展的。你有沒有考慮過換個(gè)地方？比如國外或者其它城市？

Joe: In truth， no I haven't. I'd like to stay around here if I can.

喬：說真的還真沒想過。如果我能，我還是想留在這里。

LinZhi: I may end up having to move to somewhere like Guangzhou or Shanghai. It'd suck， but the big cities are where most of the jobs in my field are.

林芝：我大概不得不去像廣州上海那樣的城市了。那樣很討厭，可是像我這個(gè)專業(yè)的工作機(jī)會絕大多數(shù)都在那樣的大城市。

Joe: Guess we'll just have to wait and see what turns up， huh?

喬：看看將來會怎樣吧。
