In order to carry on China's tra-ditional distillation and brewingtecbniques by Kweichow Moutai,Shanxi Fen Chiew, and Luzhou Laoji-ao, classic representatives of the sauce-flavor, delicate-flavor, and strong-flavorliquors, have applied to the UnitedNations Educational, Scientific andCultural Organization(UNESCO) forthe World Intangible Cultural Heritagelisting. On September 23, China's topexperts came to the Guangxi meetingroom at the Great Hall of the People inBeijing, and held a meeting to discussthe necessity of China's traditionaldislillation and brewing techniques toapply for the world heritage listing.
