最近啊,總有同學把hear和listen to認錯,不信,你們瞧:
1. I’m hearing music. (×)
2. I can’t listen to anything.(×)
其實啊,hear和listen to 都表示“聽”,但他們是有區(qū)別的。hear表示“聽到”,即:“聽”的結果。而listen to表示“聽”的動作。上面兩句應該作如下修改才是正確的:
1. I’m listening to music. 我正在聽音樂。(√)2. I can’t hear anything. 我什么也沒聽到。(√)
同樣地,還有l(wèi)ook for和find,都表示“找”,但他們也是有區(qū)別的。先來看下面的句子:
Helen is looking for Mike. But she can’t find him.海倫正在找邁克,但她沒有找到他。(√)
從這兩個句子可以看出:look for表示“找”的動作,強調(diào)“找”的過程。而find卻可以表示“找”的結果:很明確地告訴大家是找到了,還是沒有找到。類似的詞組還有:look和see。前者一般表示“看”的動作,后者表示“看”的結果。如:
1. Look, they are dancing. 看,他們正在跳舞。(√) 2. —Can you see a boy over there? 你能看見一個男孩在那邊嗎?—Yes, I can. 是的,我看見了。(√)
