In the novelThe Diary of Maniac, there are one word that I can't forget forever, that is, \"man-eater\". It reminds me of the cruel society, the indifferent eyes, the sharp teeth and the monstrous face, which are so scaring. The author showed us such a morbid and abnormal society in a vivid and witty touch. The cruel feudal system, which was once overwhelming, oppressed people both physically and mentally. But at the same time, it aroused the dormant people to fight against it. In fact, as I was appreciating Mr. Lu Xun's excel lent style of writing, I felt quite lucky that I wasn't born in that cruel society.
Whenever I read such books that are similar to Mr. Lu Xun's The Diary of Ma- niac, I feel indignant, sorrowful and fortunate. But most of the time, I feel a kind of responsibility. It's not about the conflict between the old and new ideology.Maybe it' s all about a kind of invisible pressure from the modern society. That is to say, our responsibility is to create new inventions and to improve the society. We are young, so we need to learn a lot of things. The expectation of teachers, the hope of parents and the dream of ourselves can be a kind of motivation, but they can also be a pressure, which make us too tired to enjoy ourselves.
What we need to do is to break loose from the pressure. Nothing can be better if we can turn the pressure into motivation. In the novel The Diary of Maniac, Mr. Lu Xun acted as a madman. He expressed his anger, exposed the darkness of the society and educated us all. I think, sometimes a madman is not so bad as we expected. As a matter of fact, I' d rather be a madman if I could lead a much more meaningful and worthwhile life in that way.
