邊巍巍從練功房出來(lái)，她來(lái)到我面前時(shí)喘息未定，額頭還冒著點(diǎn)點(diǎn)汗珠。此刻，她安靜地坐在我的對(duì)面。

這位杭州歌舞團(tuán)的首席舞蹈演員，在2006年8月21日至29日舉行的第三屆韓國(guó)首爾國(guó)際舞蹈大賽中，以《吉祥》和《奮飛》兩個(gè)民族舞蹈，一舉奪得了民族舞蹈比賽金獎(jiǎng)。從各大媒體的報(bào)道中，我已經(jīng)感知了這位25歲姑娘的美麗：她是那樣的文靜純潔，像清清亮亮的水，晶瑩剔透、清澈明凈。

曾經(jīng)的灰姑娘

黑色練功服很妥帖地包裹著她纖細(xì)的身材，瓜子臉，鳳眼柳眉，皮膚白凈，娟秀柔美，一切都是典型的江南女子味道，但她卻是一位不折不扣的喝牛奶吃羊肉長(zhǎng)大的內(nèi)蒙古姑娘。

當(dāng)年12歲的巍巍說(shuō)要學(xué)舞蹈，她的母親很不贊同：因?yàn)橐彩俏璧秆輪T的母親，深深懂得舞蹈對(duì)人的那份苛求。她認(rèn)為女兒身材條件不是太好，而且體質(zhì)也過(guò)于柔弱，不一定吃得消舞蹈的體力強(qiáng)度。因而在此之前，母親曾讓巍巍練速滑，然而巍巍總不能完全進(jìn)入速滑角色，她心中深藏著對(duì)舞蹈刻骨銘心的熱愛(ài)。

母親看巍巍已經(jīng)下定決心學(xué)舞蹈，就自己編舞蹈對(duì)巍巍進(jìn)行考前訓(xùn)練，督促女兒高強(qiáng)度練習(xí)，動(dòng)作稍不到位，母親就會(huì)要求她重做。那時(shí)，巍巍感覺(jué)學(xué)舞蹈比想象的還要辛苦，但她沒(méi)有動(dòng)搖做舞蹈演員的決心，也不怨恨母親的那分“兇狠”，她超越年齡地懂事：學(xué)舞蹈就是這樣的！

1993年巍巍考入內(nèi)蒙古藝術(shù)學(xué)院。在學(xué)院學(xué)跳舞的那種苦她能忍受，但另一種苦悶讓她覺(jué)得很不好受：那就是老師對(duì)她的冷落。因?yàn)樗?jīng)練過(guò)速滑，身材顯得有些發(fā)胖，而班上更多的是那些與生俱來(lái)能歌善舞的蒙古族姑娘。在那些個(gè)子高挑、各方面資質(zhì)較好的同學(xué)中，巍巍真的只是“丑小鴨”。因此，無(wú)論是在教室里還是在舞臺(tái)上的排位，巍巍總是站在最角落里。

這樣的冷落讓巍巍很受傷，但她從來(lái)就沒(méi)有想過(guò)要放棄，因?yàn)樗龑?duì)舞蹈有著一種癡狂的愛(ài)。這時(shí)曾經(jīng)反對(duì)她學(xué)舞蹈的母親，一個(gè)勁地給她鼓勁：“你既選擇了舞蹈，吃苦是必定的，其中也包括這樣的吃苦，你一定要承受它，并且戰(zhàn)勝它！哪怕是在最角落，你照樣可以從角落里發(fā)出光來(lái)，照亮自己的身前身后！”

巍巍下決心提高自己。當(dāng)別人休息時(shí)，巍巍還在偷偷地練功；當(dāng)別人出去玩時(shí)，她還在練功房里。她不逛街、不看電影、不玩樂(lè)，一門(mén)心思關(guān)注自己舞蹈功底的長(zhǎng)進(jìn)。

功夫不負(fù)有心人，14歲那年巍巍作為被選拔出來(lái)的最優(yōu)秀的五名學(xué)生之一，參加了學(xué)校里一個(gè)舞蹈《創(chuàng)傷曲》的排練，結(jié)果在五個(gè)女孩中，她是唯一一個(gè)能堅(jiān)持著跳下來(lái)的女孩。確實(shí)，挫折和磨難是促使人成功的良方。

脫穎而出的巍巍終于贏得了老師的器重：“邊巍巍你就是拿她沒(méi)辦法，即使把她放在最不重要的位置，她照樣會(huì)出挑。你不關(guān)注她就是不行！”她不僅從此成為重點(diǎn)培養(yǎng)對(duì)象，還成了她的學(xué)弟學(xué)妹們的楷模，一直到今天，邊巍巍依舊是那所學(xué)校的驕傲，她為那些熱愛(ài)舞蹈的學(xué)子們送去成才秘訣：條件和天分不是主導(dǎo)因素，刻苦和勤奮才是成才的路徑！

西湖邊的小白樺

1998年邊巍巍從內(nèi)蒙古藝術(shù)學(xué)院畢業(yè)，并以優(yōu)異的成績(jī)考上了中央民族大學(xué)。但由于家里經(jīng)濟(jì)條件的限制，她放棄了上大學(xué)的機(jī)會(huì)，進(jìn)了烏魯木齊歌舞團(tuán)。她堅(jiān)信，只要自己不停止努力，是金子總是會(huì)發(fā)光。

1999年，18歲的巍巍參加了全國(guó)第四屆“獨(dú)、雙、三人舞”比賽，賽區(qū)就設(shè)在杭州，而杭州歌舞團(tuán)團(tuán)長(zhǎng)鄧京山正是組委會(huì)成員之一。

邊巍巍是那種很搶眼的女孩，她一上臺(tái)就吸引了諸多的目光。以“挖人才”聞名的鄧京山自然像伯樂(lè)認(rèn)千里馬一般，一下子認(rèn)定巍巍是一名出色的舞蹈演員。比賽結(jié)束后，他打聽(tīng)到了巍巍家里的電話號(hào)碼，告訴巍巍想請(qǐng)她加入杭州歌舞團(tuán)的想法。

就這樣，邊巍巍這位蒙古族姑娘像高山上的一棵白樺被移植到了一株桃樹(shù)一株柳的西子湖畔。不過(guò)移植之后她也經(jīng)歷了一段水土不服的日子：蒙古的民族舞是自由的、豪放的、爽朗的，個(gè)性顯明；而江南的舞蹈則是含蓄的、內(nèi)斂的，那種欲說(shuō)還休的羞羞答答姿勢(shì)，讓她覺(jué)得壓抑。但巍巍終究是位剛強(qiáng)女孩，不僅很快地適應(yīng)了新環(huán)境，還給了自己一個(gè)更高的定位：要學(xué)習(xí)古典的、現(xiàn)代的和民族的舞蹈，更全面地發(fā)展自己的舞蹈技藝。

她虛心向團(tuán)里的同事學(xué)習(xí)，汲取別人的長(zhǎng)處；團(tuán)里也有意搭建培養(yǎng)新人的平臺(tái)，不斷輸送青年演員參加各類傳統(tǒng)舞蹈比賽。巍巍進(jìn)團(tuán)5年，幾乎年年都獲獎(jiǎng)，結(jié)果她成為入選國(guó)家舞臺(tái)藝術(shù)精品工程的舞劇《阿姐鼓》中的第三代女主角；雙人舞《生息》獲得了浙江省第六屆音樂(lè)舞蹈節(jié)一等獎(jiǎng)；雙人舞《夜戲》還獲得“荷花杯”舞蹈比賽創(chuàng)作優(yōu)秀獎(jiǎng)，她很快成為杭歌青年舞蹈演員中的佼佼者。

如今的巍巍早就入鄉(xiāng)隨俗，從生活到業(yè)務(wù)上都已經(jīng)融入了杭州這塊江南沃土，她像一棵枝繁葉茂的小白樺，在西子湖畔的桃紅柳綠之間長(zhǎng)得亭亭玉立。

艱辛的蟾宮折桂

創(chuàng)辦于2004年的韓國(guó)首爾國(guó)際舞蹈大賽屬于高規(guī)格的國(guó)際舞蹈賽事，分芭蕾舞、現(xiàn)代舞和民族舞，評(píng)委由各國(guó)資深舞蹈家擔(dān)任，每年都有幾十個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)的選手參賽。這次的國(guó)際舞蹈大賽強(qiáng)手如林，競(jìng)爭(zhēng)非常激烈。中國(guó)、美國(guó)、俄羅斯、日本、加拿大等30個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)都派團(tuán)參加。中國(guó)的各舞蹈團(tuán)體非常重視這項(xiàng)賽事，包括中央民族歌舞團(tuán)、中國(guó)歌劇舞劇院、解放軍藝術(shù)學(xué)院、香港現(xiàn)代舞蹈團(tuán)等非常有實(shí)力的團(tuán)體都選派演員參賽，特別是民族舞比賽上，中國(guó)演員不僅要和日本、韓國(guó)、俄羅斯等國(guó)外演員比，更得和國(guó)內(nèi)舞蹈界頂尖高手作一次大比拼。

歌舞團(tuán)早就安排了邊巍巍和另一位選手排練現(xiàn)代舞，但在快到比賽的前兩個(gè)月得知，這個(gè)準(zhǔn)備了很久的參賽舞蹈中的另一位選手超齡了，這讓人既意外又措手不及。因此，邊巍巍又臨時(shí)選報(bào)了民族舞。

就像當(dāng)年在藝校一樣，這樣一來(lái)邊巍巍無(wú)疑又處于劣勢(shì)，而最讓她感覺(jué)雪上加霜的是，在6月份給大賽組委會(huì)寄送了錄像帶后，由于高強(qiáng)度的超負(fù)荷練功，她在一次排練時(shí)闌尾炎突然發(fā)作。

這一回，巍巍碰到的困難不是人的意志能夠戰(zhàn)勝的，擺在她面前可以選擇的就是兩條路：要么立刻停止練功去醫(yī)院做手術(shù)直到傷口愈合；要么采用保守療法快速制止病灶，這樣可以暫時(shí)免去開(kāi)刀住院耽誤練功，但要冒的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)是闌尾炎隨時(shí)都可能復(fù)發(fā)，萬(wàn)一在比賽時(shí)病情發(fā)作，那就不僅僅是巍巍本人的所有努力和付出前功盡棄，給團(tuán)里造成的損失也就更大了。權(quán)衡再三后，她決定去做手術(shù)。她想在手術(shù)后再加數(shù)倍的努力去搶回治病失去的時(shí)間。

杭州中醫(yī)院知道了巍巍的情況后，非常重視和關(guān)照這位特殊病人，由最好的外科醫(yī)生為她主刀，用先進(jìn)的內(nèi)縫合技術(shù)把創(chuàng)口縮到最小限度。6月9日手術(shù)，7月20日她就開(kāi)始了真正的排練，此時(shí)離比賽的日期只有一個(gè)月了，她像穿上了魔鬼舞鞋一樣，沒(méi)日沒(méi)夜地在場(chǎng)上舞蹈著，除此之外別無(wú)選擇！

她參賽的《奮飛》和《吉祥》兩個(gè)舞蹈，都是原生態(tài)的蒙古舞，民族的韻味十分濃郁。為了汲取更多的民族舞蹈的乳汁，她又特意回到內(nèi)蒙古，重溫那種原汁原味的民族風(fēng)情。

經(jīng)過(guò)一番魔鬼訓(xùn)練，巍巍在韓國(guó)的那場(chǎng)激烈比賽中，盡情地舞蹈著、淋漓盡致地展示著，她跳得輕松自如、游刃有余，發(fā)揮得相當(dāng)出色，她在如云的高手中一路過(guò)關(guān)斬將，以濃郁獨(dú)特的草原風(fēng)情和細(xì)膩柔美的舞蹈語(yǔ)言征服了觀眾。舞蹈結(jié)束了，全場(chǎng)響起了雷鳴般的掌聲，邊巍巍成功了！民族組的金獎(jiǎng)就這樣被巍巍捧回來(lái)了……

Dancing Star on the Rise

When Bian Weiwei sits quietly opposite me after a busy rehearsal， still a little bit short of breath and with beads of sweat on her forehead， she does not look like a gold winner who seized the top award at the Third Seoul International Dancing Competition held in Seoul， Korea from August 21 to 29， 2006. From the media coverage， I knew she was a beauty. But when I sit face to face with her， she is more than a beauty. She looks crystal. Bian， a 25-year-old girl， looks every inch of a girl born and bred in the southern Yangtze River Delta， but she is from Inner Mongolia.

Her dancing career started at 12 when she revealed to her mother that she wanted to be a dancer. Her mother was not that confident about her daughter’s decision. She was a dancer herself and knew what made a dancer. Bian Weiwei， in the eyes of her mother， did not have a strong body to endure the strenuous dancing practice. The mother wanted her daughter to try ice staking. The little girl refused and wanted to dance.

The mother gave in. In order to prepare the daughter for an examination， she choreographed a piece for the daughter and became a relentless martinet in breaking the daughter in for a dancing future.

In 1993， Bian Weiwei successfully passed the entrance examination and entered the Inner Mongolian Art Academy. Hard training was endurable， but something else was hard to bear: the teachers ignored her. She still had the baby fat. Most of her classmates were slender girls good at dancing and singing. Compared with them， Bian looked like an ugly duckling. In the classroom or in the training， she always ended up in the last row.

But she never gave up. The encouraging words from her mother gave her mental strength: “Dancing means enduring all kinds of pain， including the pain in your heart. You must fight the pain and conquer it. You must try to shine even if you are in the last row or in the remotest corner.”

The little girl worked very hard， pushing on and on with passion. Unlike other girls who found time watching television and films， doing window shopping， Bian never gave herself a break. She worked almost madly.

Then hard work reaped good results. At 14， she became one of the best girls in the class. She was selected as one of the five top girls from her class to take part in a dancing at the school level. It turned out that she was the only one of the five who fought all the way to the bittersweet end.

Her teachers were convinced by her tenacity and excellence. One of the teachers observed: “There is no way to ignore her. She won’t break. Even if you push her back to the back row， she would catch your eyes.” She became a model student and now she is the legend of the academy. The moral of her fairytale is， talent and physical advantages do not play the most important part in your success. Success comes purely from hard work.

Bian graduated in 1998 from the academy. The Central University for Nationalities accepted her. But due to the financial problems of her family， she joined the Xinjiang Dancing and Singing Troupe.

In 1999， the 18-year-old Bian came to Hangzhou to participate in the fourth national dancing contest. Deng Jingshan， director of the Hangzhou Dancing and Singing Troupe and the juror of the contest， spotted the excellence of Bian at the first sight.

A famous head hunter， Deng immediately thought of approaching Bian. When the contest was over， she managed to get Bian’s telephone number， called her at home， and invited Bian to join the Hangzhou Dancing and Singing Troupe.

So Bian came to Hangzhou. In the following five years， she adjusted her dancing style， learned new things from her colleagues， and， encouraged and recommended by the troupe， participated in various dancing competitions. She is a winner of many awards.

The Seoul International Dancing Competition， started in 2004， is an international dancing event， which attracts professional dancers from all over the world to compete in categories of ballet， ethnic dance， and contemporary dance. The competition in 2006 was extremely fierce， as dancing troupes from 30 countries and regions sent their best dancers to Seoul. Dancers from China’s leading troupes also would attend the competition. Bian Weiwei was one of the strong contestants， too.

Bian and a colleague would compete in contemporary dance. They worked hard， but about 2 months before the event it was found that her partner was disqualified because of his age. Bian was caught unprepared by this unforeseen dilemma. So she decided to compete alone in the category of ethnic dance. The next disaster hit her harder. She came down with acute appendicitis during a rehearsal after the video was sent to the organizing committee for preliminaries. She had two choices: take a break and have the operation or adopt a conservative treatment so that she could continue to practice. But the second alternative would be more risky. If appendicitis relapsed， she would not be able to compete at all. After weighing pros and cons， she decided to have the operation. The best surgeon operated on her and the incision was minimized. The operation was done on June 9 and she came back to rehearse on July 20， only a month before the final. She worked day and night to perfect her dancing.

Her two solo Mongolian dances were entitled Flying and Good Luck. Her presentation of the ethic charm totally conquered the jurors. She won the gold prize for ethnic dance.
