3．(表示跟隨)意為“和……在一起”。

(2)He is staying with his uncle．他和他的叔叔住在一起。

4．(表示時(shí)間)意為“與……同時(shí)，隨著”。

如：With these words，he went out．他說完這些話出去了。

5．(表原因)意為“由于，因?yàn)椤薄?/p>

如：(1)My mother is in bed with a bad cold．我母親得了感冒，臥病在床。

(2)She jumped with joy when hearing the news．當(dāng)她聽到這個(gè)消息，高興地跳了起來。

6．(表示用以填充、覆蓋等的東西)意為“用，以，被”。

7．with后跟名詞／代詞+介詞短語／副詞／形容詞／現(xiàn)在分詞／過去分詞等，這種復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)在句中作定語或狀語，作狀語時(shí)可表示伴隨的狀況或原因。

(3)The teacher came in with a book in her hand．老師手里拿著一本書，走了進(jìn)來。

(4)With his homework done．the boy ran out for a swim．作業(yè)做完后，那男孩跑出去游泳了。

8．with與and不同，with是介詞，它后面若接代詞，應(yīng)用賓格；and是連詞，它后面若接代詞且作主語，就用主格，作賓語就用賓格。

如：(1)Jim goes to school with me every day．杰姆每天和我一起上學(xué)。

(2)Jack and I do our homework every day．我和杰克每天一起做作業(yè)。
