會(huì)展體育中心具有文化意義，它不僅用于會(huì)展和體育，還用于知識(shí)和思想的交流。休閑和娛樂(lè)，餐飲和觀光，是一道亮麗風(fēng)景。

該建筑的堅(jiān)固外墻，使人想起中國(guó)城堡,與哈爾濱建筑的歷史特點(diǎn)相呼應(yīng)，形成一個(gè)統(tǒng)一的整體。不同的建筑，具有雕塑性流暢屋頂造型。

堅(jiān)固的外墻和光亮、透明、極富表現(xiàn)力的玻璃形成鮮明的對(duì)照。

玻璃前廳，將各展廳連接在一起，并貫穿整個(gè)場(chǎng)地，形成一個(gè)明亮、充滿活力的通道。

會(huì)展中心和體育場(chǎng)，是兩個(gè)突出的建筑。會(huì)展中心，通過(guò)它的象征性和富有感召力的造型，將成為哈爾濱的形象文化標(biāo)志。體育場(chǎng)的雕塑造型，與之平衡。會(huì)展中心表現(xiàn)智慧和倫理的一面，而體育場(chǎng)則表現(xiàn)體力的強(qiáng)壯。這正是陰陽(yáng)的對(duì)立統(tǒng)一。（劉河譯）

This occurs against a backdrop of leisure and entertainment in which the consumption of food and the viewing of an event form a colourful experience.Our approach has been to conceive Harbin as a vibrant ‘Integrated Whole‘ that weaves commercial and functional opportunities with cultural, environmental, social, technological and formal attitudes.This is an architecture anchored by robust powerful bladed wall elements echoing the strong historic solidity of Harbin architecture, bringing all into a coherent and unified whole. The presence of the various buildings being annunciate through sculptural and fluid roof forms.The strong wall elements are reminiscent of the great fortified walls of China and this is contrasted against a light, transparent and highly articulated glazing element.A foyer space described by an arcing glazed wall links all buildings and runs the length of the site. This is a lively street, a light-filled boulevard of activity and movement.Two buildings are given ‘foreground presence‘: the Convention Centre and the Stadium. The Convention Centre, through its symbolic and evocative form, will be an iconic and cultural symbol for Harbin. While the sculptural form of the Stadium balances it. The convention centre is the intellectual and discursive side of the composition whilst the Stadium is the celebration of the physical. It is the oppositional expression of Ying and Yang.
