The White Desert is about 500 km southwest of Cairo， Egypt. It comes in white and just looks like ice-cream. The rocks there are in different funny shapes. Some are like mushrooms and some are like people or animals.

The white sand can reflect the light. When the sun comes out in the morning or goes down in the evening， its light makes everything in the desert pink and orange. The desert looks best on a full moon night， shining in blue.

When traveling in the White Desert， you may see the Bedouin people cook food in the sand， the African foxes look for food.
