2024 China (Sichuan·Chongqing)-Japan Disaster Reduction and Relief Exchange Forum Held in Chongqing

On March 12, the 2024 China (Sichuan · Chongqing)-Japan Disaster Reduction and Relief Exchange Forum was held in Wanzhou District, Chongqing. The following guests were present at the Forum and delivered speeches respectively in Wanzhou District and Shizuoka, namely Li Mingquan, Vice President of Chongqing Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Huang Wei, Vice President of Sichuan Provincial Peoples Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Liu Xiaoquan, Vice District Mayor of Wanzhou; Takada Mari, Consul-General of Japan in Chongqing; and Koseki Katsuya, Director of the Department of Sub-National Foreign Affairs, Shizuoka Office of Sub-National Foreign Affairs.

Li Mingquan said that joining hands to strengthen disaster management and collectively address challenges is a common expectation of the international community. He expected the Forum to be an exchange platform for experts from all sides to learn from each other and for the audience to learn about disaster reduction and mitigation. He also hoped this event could enhance sub-national exchanges and cooperation on this topic between China and Japan, and thus build a community with a shared future and a security community for mankind through concrete actions.

At the Forum, experiences, and practices were shared, based on the theme of “Disaster Reduction and Relief Around Us,” by six experts from the Wanzhou District Emergency Management Bureau, Wanzhous Blue Sky Rescue Team, Sichuan Dazhou City Geological Environment Monitoring Station, the Red Cross Society of China Guangan Branch, and the Crisis Management Department, Shizuoka Prefecture. The experts also exchanged and interacted with the audience present at the event.

More than ten departments of districts and counties, such as Kaizhou District Liangping District, and JETRO CHENGDU were invited to attend the Forum on-site or online.

3月12日，2024中國(guó)（四川·重慶）—日本防災(zāi)減災(zāi)交流會(huì)在重慶市萬(wàn)州區(qū)舉行。重慶市對(duì)外友協(xié)副會(huì)長(zhǎng)李明全、四川省對(duì)外友協(xié)副會(huì)長(zhǎng)黃偉、萬(wàn)州區(qū)政府副區(qū)長(zhǎng)劉小泉、日本駐重慶總領(lǐng)事高田真里，靜岡縣地域外交局地域外交課課長(zhǎng)小關(guān)克也分別在萬(wàn)州和靜岡會(huì)場(chǎng)出席交流會(huì)并致辭。

李明全表示，攜手加強(qiáng)災(zāi)害治理，共同應(yīng)對(duì)挑戰(zhàn)是國(guó)際社會(huì)的共同期待。希望交流會(huì)既能成為各方專(zhuān)家互學(xué)互鑒、取長(zhǎng)補(bǔ)短的交流平臺(tái)，又能成為一堂使在場(chǎng)所有觀(guān)眾受益的防災(zāi)減災(zāi)知識(shí)普及課程，進(jìn)一步強(qiáng)化中日地方防災(zāi)減災(zāi)交流合作，以具體行動(dòng)推動(dòng)構(gòu)建人類(lèi)命運(yùn)共同體、人類(lèi)安全共同體。

會(huì)上，來(lái)自萬(wàn)州區(qū)應(yīng)急局、萬(wàn)州藍(lán)天救援隊(duì)、達(dá)州市地質(zhì)環(huán)境監(jiān)測(cè)站、廣安市紅十字會(huì)、靜岡縣危機(jī)管理部的6位專(zhuān)家圍繞“我身邊的防災(zāi)減災(zāi)”主題分享經(jīng)驗(yàn)做法，并與現(xiàn)場(chǎng)觀(guān)眾交流互動(dòng)。

活動(dòng)還特別邀請(qǐng)開(kāi)州區(qū)、梁平區(qū)等10余個(gè)區(qū)縣相關(guān)部門(mén)、日本貿(mào)易振興機(jī)構(gòu)駐成都代表處等線(xiàn)下或線(xiàn)上參會(huì)。
