Sandy is very worried. Sandy will graduate1from high school. He can go to university. ButSandy has a problem. He wants to go touniversity， but he doesnt know what he wantsto study.

桑迪很憂慮。桑迪將從高中畢業(yè)，他能夠上大學(xué)。但桑迪有個問題，雖然他想上大學(xué)，但他不知道自己想學(xué)什么。

His high school has an advisor2. He goes totalk to the advisor. “I dont know what to studyat university，”he says. The advisor asks，“Whatdo you like？ Do you like math， or science， orlanguages or reading books？”

他的高中有一位指導(dǎo)老師。他去和指導(dǎo)老師談心。“我不知道在大學(xué)里該學(xué)什么。”他說。指導(dǎo)老師問：“你喜歡什么？你喜歡數(shù)學(xué)、科學(xué)、語言還是閱讀？”

Sandy says，“I like math， science， languages，and reading books. I like everything. I have goodgrades3 for everything.”The advisor laughs.“Youare lucky，”she says.“You can study anything.”

桑迪說：“我喜歡數(shù)學(xué)、科學(xué)、語言和閱讀。我什么都喜歡。我每一科成績都很好?！敝笇?dǎo)老師笑了?！澳愫苄疫\?！彼f，“你可以學(xué)習(xí)任何東西?！?/p>

Sandy is angry4. “But I have to choose one thing！ I dont know what tochoose！ ”The advisor says， “Listen to your heart. University costs a lot of money.University study is difficult. You must work very hard. You will only be happy atuniversity if you study something you love. What does your heart tell you to do？”

桑迪很生氣。“但我必須選擇一個！我不知道該選擇什么！”指導(dǎo)老師說：“聽聽你的心聲。大學(xué)要花很多錢，大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)很難，你必須非常努力。只有學(xué)習(xí)喜歡的東西，你在大學(xué)里才會快樂。你的心告訴你該選哪個了么？”

Sandy stands up.“My heart is not talking to me！ ”he shouts. He walks outof the advisors office. He walks down to a park near the high school. He sits onthe grass in the park.

桑迪站了起來?！拔业男臎]有和我說話！”他喊道。他走出指導(dǎo)老師的辦公室，來到高中附近的一個公園里。他坐在公園的草地上。

“I must choose what to study at university. Do I want to be a scientist？ Do Iwant to teach English？ Do I want to work for a finance5 company？ I dontknow.”

“我必須選擇在大學(xué)要學(xué)習(xí)的專業(yè)。我想成為一名科學(xué)家嗎？我想教英語嗎？我想去金融公司工作嗎？我不知道?！?/p>

Sandy sits in the park for a long time. He is tired， and he is worried. He fallsasleep6. When Sandy wakes up， he feels something strange7. There is somethingsmall and warm next to him. He looks down. A very small dog is on the ground nextto him. The dog is very young.

桑迪在公園里坐了很長時間。他很累，也很憂慮，然后就睡著了。當(dāng)桑迪醒來時，他感到有些奇怪。他身邊有個小小的溫暖的東西。他往腳下看去，一只很小的狗正躺在他身旁的地上。這只狗很年幼。

Sandy thinks the little dog needs food and water. He picks the little dog up.He walks back to his home. He gives the dog food and water. The little dog is verythirsty8 and hungry. When the dog finishes eating and drinking， it falls asleep.Sandy finds a blanket9. He puts the blanket in the kitchen. He takes the little dogto the kitchen and puts it on the blanket.

桑迪認(rèn)為這只小狗需要食物和水。他把小狗抱起來，步行回到家，給它喂狗糧和水。這只小狗又渴又餓，吃完東西、喝完水后，它就睡著了。桑迪找到了一條毯子，把毯子放在廚房里，然后把小狗帶到廚房放在毯子上。

When his mother comes home， she comes to Sandys room and says， “There isa very small dog in the kitchen. Did you bring this dog to our house？”Sandy is tiredbut he says，“I found the dog in the park. I wanted to take care of it.”

他母親回家后來到桑迪的房間，說：“廚房里有一只很小的狗。是你把這只狗帶回我們家的嗎？”桑迪很累，但他還是說：“我在公園里發(fā)現(xiàn)了這只狗。我想好好照顧它?！?/p>

His mother laughs. “Oh， Sandy，”she says. “You are an animal lover. ThatsOK. Your heart tells you to be kind to animals. You are tired， so please sleep. I willlook after the little dog.”Sandy thinks， “My mother knows my heart. I love animals.I must study to be an animal doctor. My heart knows more than my head.”

他母親笑了。“哎呀，桑迪?！彼f，“你是一個動物愛好者。沒關(guān)系。你的心告訴你要善待動物。你累了就睡覺吧。我會照顧小狗的?！鄙５舷耄骸拔覌寢尷斫馕摇Ｎ蚁矚g動物。我必須學(xué)習(xí)成為一名獸醫(yī)。我的心比我的腦子更明白這一點?！?/p>
