It is Mothers Day.

“Lets give Mum a surprise，” says Lorna.

“Great！ But what to do？” asks Oliver.

“How about making a dinner？” asks Lorna.

“Thats a good idea，” says Oliver.

“Lets go shopping. ”

They buy some vegetables.

“Mum likes celeries and carrots，” says Lorna.

“Yes， and she likes mushrooms，” says Oliver.

They buy some fruits.

“These strawberries look so fresh，” says Lorna.

“Mum likes apples， too，” says Oliver.

“Thats enough for dinner，” says Oliver.

“OK， lets go home，” says Lorna.

They pass a flower shop.

“Mum likes flowers，” says Lorna.

“Yes， lets get some flowers，” says Oliver.

Lorna and Oliver get home.

They put the flowers into the vase.

The flowers are so beautiful！

“But we still need something else，” says Lorna.

“Whats that？” asks Oliver.

“A card，” says Lorna.

So Lorna and Oliver make a Mothers Day card.

They draw trees and flowers on the card.

And they write down their best wishes for Mum.

Then they clean the vegetables and fruits.

Lorna makes the celeries and carrots.

Oliver makes the mushroom soup.

Dinner is ready.

And Mum goes home.

“Happy Mothers Day！” say Lorna and Oliver.

“Oh， what a surprise！” says Mum.

“Thank you， my dear babies.”

Mum is so happy！
