On March 3, the “Cultural Industry Empowers Rural Revitalization — Cross-Strait Youth Creative Design Exhibition” was held at Chongqing Yue Design Center. A total of 200 groups of outstanding works by young designers from both sides of the Taiwan Strait were displayed, 30% of which had claimed various international design awards.
“For a business or camping trip, rather than a fragile glass bottle of chilies, you might as well take this jelly-like ‘Wow Pepper. If you are afraid of getting burned when lifting the instant noodle bucket lid, you can use this bowl because it has a ‘hat brim that helps you uncover the bowl easily. The tip of the type of ink brush can be changed, so that you dont have to throw the brush away when its tip sheds hair after being used for a long time ...” Upon their entry into the exhibition hall, a lot of visitors were attracted by these mind-blowing creations.
The exhibition was co-hosted by the Chinese Culture Friendship Association and the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, and jointly undertaken by China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd. and Chongqing Yuelai Investment Group Co., Ltd. It was designed with eight themed areas, to showcase 200 groups of masterpieces selected from the works of 10,000 youth designers from 300 colleges and universities across the Taiwan Strait.
The exhibition was divided into the online section and the offline section. The online exhibition kicked off on November 30, 2022, through an exclusive website in multiple languages including Chinese, English, and French, where visitors across the globe could read contemporary Chinas stories on rural revitalization. As of February 6, 2023, the site had received more than 1.75 million visits worldwide.
Lasting through March 31, the offline exhibition was the enrichment and extension of the online one, aiming to enable visitors to appreciate at close range the ingenious design and exquisite craftsmanship of rich wonderful exhibits and feel the charm of creative design and industrial manufacturing.
“Through the exhibition, we hope to build a platform for exchange, cooperation, and achievement display among young designers on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and identify a new path for the cultural industry to empower rural revitalization and for young people on both sides of the strait to together carry forward Chinese culture at home and abroad,” Kong Lun, a Level-II Inspector of the Hong Kong SAR, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Peoples Republic of China said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, adding that he expected this exhibition would well tell contemporary Chinas stories about rural revitalization and more young people in Taiwan would actively seize opportunities from Chinas rapid development and rural revitalization initiative to achieve respective growth.
Liu Xiaonan, Deputy Director-General of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, said that the commission would take this exhibition as an opportunity to build a platform for exchange and cooperation of the creative design industry, guide industrial people to provide targeted assistance, invest, and develop business in rural areas, advance the development of the cultural industry in rural areas, enhance the vitality of agricultural and rural development, and foster new drivers of rural development.
After the opening ceremony, the host organization organized the “Cultural Industry Empowers Rural Revitalization—Cross-Strait Youth Creative Design Exchange Meeting” focused on such themes as “How can the cultural industry empower rural revitalization?” and “The overseas influence of creative design exchanges among the youth across the Taiwan Strait”. At the meeting, well-known experts and designers from the cultural industry and design circles had dialogues and discussions, providing clearer methods and experience for rural revitalization participants.
3月3日,文化賦能 鄉(xiāng)村振興—兩岸青年創(chuàng)意設(shè)計(jì)展在重慶悅·設(shè)創(chuàng)藝展示中心舉行。展出海峽兩岸青年設(shè)計(jì)師200組優(yōu)秀作品,其中三成的作品曾獲得全球各類設(shè)計(jì)大獎(jiǎng)。
出差、露營想吃辣,用玻璃瓶裝易碎,不如用這款像果凍一樣的“哇塞小辣椒”;泡面蓋子掀開時(shí)怕燙,這款泡面碗自帶便于揭開的“帽檐”;毛筆用久了掉毛,又不想丟,這種毛筆可以換筆頭……走進(jìn)展廳,這些腦洞大開的創(chuàng)意設(shè)計(jì)讓眾多觀眾駐足。
本次展覽由中華文化聯(lián)誼會、重慶市文化和旅游發(fā)展委員會聯(lián)合主辦,中國對外文化集團(tuán)和重慶悅來投資集團(tuán)共同承辦,共設(shè)立8個(gè)主題區(qū)。面向海峽兩岸300所高校、1萬名青年設(shè)計(jì)師征集作品,最終遴選出了200組優(yōu)秀作品參展。
展覽分為線上展和線下展兩個(gè)板塊。線上展于2022年11月30日啟幕,推出了專屬網(wǎng)站,設(shè)置有中文、英文、法文等語言文字,供全球觀眾點(diǎn)擊瀏覽,向世界講述當(dāng)代中國鄉(xiāng)村振興故事。截至今年2月6日,該網(wǎng)站全球訪問量累計(jì)超過175萬人次。
線下展是線上展的豐富和延伸,旨在通過豐富精彩的實(shí)物展品,讓觀眾近距離欣賞到這些作品的巧妙設(shè)計(jì)和精湛工藝,感受創(chuàng)意設(shè)計(jì)和工業(yè)制造的魅力。展至3月31日結(jié)束。
“本次兩岸青年創(chuàng)意設(shè)計(jì)展力求搭建一個(gè)兩岸青年設(shè)計(jì)師交流合作和成果展示的平臺,探索一條文化產(chǎn)業(yè)賦能鄉(xiāng)村振興的新路徑,一條讓兩岸年輕人齊心協(xié)力在海內(nèi)外共同弘揚(yáng)中華文化的新路徑?!遍_幕式上,文化和旅游部港澳臺辦二級巡視員孔倫表示,希望通過本次展覽講好當(dāng)代中國鄉(xiāng)村振興的美好故事,讓越來越多的臺灣青年積極搭乘祖國蓬勃發(fā)展的快車,在鄉(xiāng)村振興的大潮中抓住機(jī)遇、得到成長。
重慶市文化和旅游發(fā)展委員會副主任劉曉年表示,市文化旅游委將以本次展覽活動為契機(jī),為創(chuàng)意設(shè)計(jì)界搭建交流與合作平臺,引導(dǎo)從業(yè)者深入鄉(xiāng)村,對接幫扶、投資興業(yè),促進(jìn)文化產(chǎn)業(yè)更多向鄉(xiāng)村流動,增強(qiáng)農(nóng)業(yè)農(nóng)村發(fā)展活力,培育鄉(xiāng)村發(fā)展新動能。
開幕式后,主辦方還圍繞“文化產(chǎn)業(yè)如何賦能鄉(xiāng)村振興”“兩岸青年創(chuàng)意設(shè)計(jì)交流的海外影響力”等主題舉辦了“文化賦能 鄉(xiāng)村振興—兩岸青年交流會”。文化產(chǎn)業(yè)及設(shè)計(jì)界的知名專家和設(shè)計(jì)師齊聚一堂展開對話、討論,為鄉(xiāng)村振興參與者提供更明晰的理論與經(jīng)驗(yàn)借鑒。
