The Winter Olympics started in 1924 and it is 99 years old now. It is held every four years. There have been 24 Winter Olympics until now. The 25th will be held in Italy in 2026.

All sports in the Winter Olympics are played on snow and ice. There are seven sports： skiing， skating， biathlon， bobsleigh， luge， ice hockey and curling. Each sport includes several events. For example， we have speed skating（速滑） and figure skating（花樣滑冰）.
