When the exam ended, I thought for a moment, searching for the right words to explain to Tom. “Sorry, Tom, but you know me well enough to understand how I feel about cheating.” Feeling so angry, Tom didn't say anything to me. Then I added slowly and softly, “Cheating is also harmful to you. You may think you can get good marks without hard study. But studying English is important and it will be beneficial to you.” Nodding his head, Tom responded, “But never did I learn English well.”Feeling relieved, I said in excitement, “I will share my methods with you, which are really effective.”

Tom accepted my idea and tried to study English harder. Every morning, we not only read English aloud but also recited English words. Besides, I explained to Tom what he didn't understand in class. So devoted to studying English,Tom had learned almost everything that he didn't understand before. After several months, Tom made great progress in the English examination, which surprised all of our classmates, as well as the teacher.Hearing the great news, a feeling of extreme happiness dominated us. Tom was so grateful to me that he understood what a true friend should be. A true friend is the one who can make a right choice for you,which will benefit you for a life-long time.

She stood with her back against the sofa, watching me type and slowly brushing the tip of Dumpty's arm across her nose for comfort.Clearly, Dumpty was doing my job to keep her company. I suddenly felt guilt growing inside me. “Meghan,let's take a walk down to the park.” Hearing this, she jumped up excitedly and began to search for her shoes. I finally understood that taking my daughter to meet bib-bibs was much more important than the work on the screen. I could do it later, but I couldn't afford to loose my daughter's interest sparked by the outside world.

Dear Jim,

I have taken part in some volunteering activities recently. I am writing to share my experience with you.

I went to the railway station with other volunteers by bus. We started working as soon as we arrived. Seeing some passengers with heavy baggage, we offered to carry it. Then we went to the ticket office, helping some passengers buy tickets. We also helped some passengers to get boiled water.

The volunteering activities provided us with opportunities to help others and we learned many things that we can't get from text books.

Today I had a school trip. Our classmates and I visited the Science and Technology Museum.

As soon as we reached the museum,we were amazed to see lost of pictures about science. Then we watched a video about different inventions and their inventors. It's unbelievable that technology has progressed in such a rapid way. In the afternoon, we played chess with some special robots. It was surprising to find that nobody could beat them.

I am keen on the Science and Technology Museum. Not only can we play happily, but we can also know about some interesting things about the world.
