Unearthed from a hospice in Hejia Village in the southern suburbs of Xi’an
In the hospice of Hejia village unearthed were a total of 12 small dragons, all" standing upright. Their necks are S-shaped and their tails are short but strong. On the grooves of their heads are welded fine golden wires that are curved as horns. Their limbs and bodies were also welded together. The details of their beards, manes, and scales were engraved with a chisel. Because they are handmade, their postures and gaits are all slightly different.
