Spring and Autumn Period --- Qin
Highth l.9 cm, length 3.2 cm, weight 13.5 grams
Unearthed from the No.1 tomb of Duke Qin, Fengxiang county
Casted from a mold, there is a shallow trace of it at the bottom midline of this dog’s body. The joints of the limbs, paws, and tail are presented in cloud-like patterns. Underneath the front paws extends a tenon for fixing or interposing something. It shows that this golden dog is likely a" decorative addition to be attached onto an object.
