In the past few days,Ministry of Ecological Environment issued the announcement of Technical Specifications for Pollution Control Over Disposing Used Lithium Ion Power Battery (Pilot),the national ecological and environmental standards.According to the announcement,in order to implement Environmental Protection Law of the PRC and Law of the PRC on the Prevention and Control of Solid Waste Pollution,for the purpose of preventing pollution and protecting the environment,standardizing and guiding disposal of lithium ion power battery,the state released Technical Specifications for Pollution Control Over Disposing Used Lithium Ion Power Battery(Pilot) as tentative national ecological and environmental standards.

According to information,the Standard will take effect on January,1,2022.The Standard specifically rules procedures for disposing used lithium ion power battery,including technical requirements for pollution prevention and control,pollutant emission control and environmental monitoring and operation environment management.The Standard is applicable to pollution control during disposal of used lithium ion power battery.It also can work as technical reference for environmental impact evaluation,construction operation,completion environmental protection acceptance and pollutant discharge permit management of projects related to disposal of used lithium ion power battery.
