That's a great day as Shanghai World Foreign Language Academy celebrated its 25th English festival. The bell rang exactly at 8：15， and the themed activities began. Students of grade seven and grade six went to different classrooms to watch the performance prepared by the students according to the tickets given.

In grade 7 Bilingual class l， the students showed us how ancient Chinese culture influenced the world. Group l's topic is about the influence between Chinese characters and Japanese， South Korean characters. To introduce the details of Chinese characters， the students came through the calligraphic styles and three main features. After all， the audience witnessed the process of how Chinese characters influenced Japanese characters. They found out that Japanese people carried many original Chinese characters， as they discovered some characters exactly the same as an evidence. To my surprise， we can also vaguely recognize a variety of pronunciation and character pattern that Japan brought to us. This culture communication is incredible， which amazed all the audience. That proves how powerful our culture is， and we as the young generation， should do our best to inherit and spread that precious cultural prosperity. This is such a thought-provoking phenomenon！

The speech given by another group， which left a deep impression on me， is about the Silk Roads and the Blue and White porcelain. Through the famous Silk Roads， China and Western countries successfully exchanged broad beans， pomegranate， walnuts and silk， tea etc. Blue and white porcelain was one of the most important products. By learning about the Silk Roads and the related politics either for ancient China or now， I was deeply moved by the strength and power of our country."Looking back to Chinese history let me become confident and look forward to the future of my motherland." Said performer Jeff Wu from B7-1.

Every time the whole world tried to look down upon China， our ancestors always stood out and proved themselves. Now that's our responsibility to bring Chinese culture and technology to the world. Future isin our hand！
