Do you love your body?
I hope the answer is “yes”.
Everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin. So, today, I'd like to talk about how we can build healthier relationships with our bodies.
These days, with social media, there can be a lot of 1 to look perfect. Everyone seems to have six-pack abs, or perfectly clear skin. At times, it can be hard not to compare yourself. Body positivity is the idea that everyone deserves to have a positive body image. It's about learning to 2 yourself and helping yourself and others to gain confidence. Not only that, ifs also about challenging our ideas of beauty and really asking ourselves if the images we see in 3 are sending a healthy message.
But of course, all of this is easier said than done. So, I've got three tips to help you guys practice.
First start with your mindset.
Learn to be kind to yourself and remember to think healthier, not thinner.4 fixating on weight, focus on getting fit, eating right and being well rested. At the end of the day, a healthy weight for you may be 5 from a healthy weight for others. So it's important to listen to your body and know when you're treating it right.
Second, use body-positive language.
Take statements like “my legs are fat” and 2)reframe them as “my legs are strong". 6 the things you love about your body, and how your body helps you get more out of life. Remember, if you wouldn't say it to a friend, then don't say it to 7.
Last spread the love!
A great way to help 3)empower others is simply just to 8 them what you love about them. So take some time to 4)compliment your friends.
1)fixate v.(使)固定,注視
2)reframe v.再構(gòu)造;重新制訂
3)empowerv.授權(quán);給(某人)?????? 的權(quán)力
4)complimentn.贊揚(yáng);稱贊;致意;問候;祝賀v.贊美;稱贊;欽佩
