因聯(lián)合國(guó)的一個(gè)邀約誕生了一部繪本

2020年夏末，葉露盈最新繪本《木蘭辭》由磨鐵圖書(shū)·浙江人民出版社正式出版，千年前的奇異畫(huà)卷躍然紙上，使傳統(tǒng)文化又一次綻放出那獨(dú)一無(wú)二的韻味。

其實(shí)早在2018年，在央視《國(guó)家寶藏》節(jié)目上，90后插畫(huà)家葉露盈的巨幅繪本《洛神賦》就讓觀眾驚艷萬(wàn)分。再往前數(shù)，早在2016年，葉露盈就憑借全新演繹的《洛神賦》繪本，在法蘭克福書(shū)展上讓所見(jiàn)者沉醉。

本科從中國(guó)美術(shù)學(xué)院畢業(yè)后，葉露盈赴挪威奧斯陸國(guó)立藝術(shù)大學(xué)完成了碩士學(xué)業(yè)，現(xiàn)任教于中國(guó)美術(shù)學(xué)院插畫(huà)與漫畫(huà)專業(yè)。

葉露盈木蘭形象的創(chuàng)作始于兩年前。2018年，她接受聯(lián)合國(guó)郵政管理局的邀約，創(chuàng)作了3枚郵票的特別版小全張，其中的女性角色就是花木蘭。這是她第一次就花木蘭形象進(jìn)行深入思考，也為繪本《木蘭辭》創(chuàng)作埋下伏筆。

在挪威學(xué)習(xí)，葉露盈開(kāi)始有機(jī)會(huì)借助他山之石重新審視自己民族的文化與傳統(tǒng)，從而萌生了用符合現(xiàn)代審美的方式講述中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)故事的念頭?；貒?guó)后，圖書(shū)館角落里翻看到顧愷之《洛神賦圖》的一瞬，她在其中看到了“中國(guó)繪畫(huà)美學(xué)的源代碼”，她知道自己找到了答案。兩年后，全新演繹的《洛神賦》繪本誕生。

她說(shuō)，時(shí)代在發(fā)展，古典故事繪本更應(yīng)該注入年輕血液，打上這個(gè)時(shí)代的標(biāo)簽，保留魂，注入新顏。

她說(shuō)，希望能將中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文風(fēng)、畫(huà)風(fēng)與現(xiàn)代的漫畫(huà)技藝結(jié)合，使插畫(huà)將詩(shī)詞歌賦與繪畫(huà)融為一體，創(chuàng)造出具有中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)意味的綺麗世界。

她做到了?！堵迳褓x》繪本讓她一舉斬獲中國(guó)動(dòng)漫金龍獎(jiǎng)最佳插畫(huà)獎(jiǎng)金獎(jiǎng)，并登上央視《國(guó)家寶藏》，成為東晉杰出畫(huà)家顧愷之《洛神賦圖》的今生守護(hù)者。

外界的認(rèn)可讓她堅(jiān)定了繼續(xù)畫(huà)下去的決心。

基于葉露盈的長(zhǎng)期資料儲(chǔ)備，木蘭（葉露盈喜歡這樣稱呼花木蘭）設(shè)計(jì)初稿的誕生并沒(méi)有花費(fèi)過(guò)多的精力。在咖啡館等朋友的6小時(shí)，她就大致描繪出了木蘭的形象——一個(gè)掛著長(zhǎng)長(zhǎng)的眉毛、身邊總是追著兩只小兔子的勇敢的少女，她的寶劍、頭盔、著女裝時(shí)的發(fā)型，都是木蘭花的樣子。

繪本《木蘭辭》的創(chuàng)作基于北朝樂(lè)府民歌《木蘭辭》的原文。“唧唧復(fù)唧唧，木蘭當(dāng)戶織”，這熟悉的文字，曾伴隨著無(wú)數(shù)人的學(xué)生時(shí)代。在葉露盈看來(lái)，千年前的《木蘭辭》本身就很有時(shí)空感，她認(rèn)為這是一個(gè)小鎮(zhèn)少女闖天下的故事，她心中的木蘭是位兼具少女感和勇猛果敢的人，既能做到替父從軍、為國(guó)建功立業(yè)，又能在勝利回朝后不忘初心、不求功名，繼續(xù)做原本的木蘭?！靶弁媚_撲朔，雌兔眼迷離，雙兔傍地走，安能辨我是雄雌？”伴隨著木蘭一同成長(zhǎng)的雙兔更像是她的精神支撐，它們穿著木蘭同款的衣物和盔甲，伴隨著木蘭度過(guò)一個(gè)又一個(gè)苦悶與孤獨(dú)的夜，陪木蘭征戰(zhàn)、受封、返鄉(xiāng)。故事之末，隨著木蘭的成長(zhǎng)、獨(dú)立，兔子也褪去了身上的衣物，做回了普通的兔子。

“在中國(guó)描寫(xiě)女性的歷史線上，木蘭都是一個(gè)獨(dú)一無(wú)二的存在。你很難再找到一個(gè)同樣精彩的角色。再加上這個(gè)故事線中展示了一個(gè)女孩的個(gè)人成長(zhǎng)軌跡，會(huì)引起很多人的共鳴，觀眾是可以跟著木蘭一起成長(zhǎng)的?！比~露盈正是在這種很強(qiáng)的共鳴下對(duì)木蘭從軍的故事展開(kāi)演繹的，她希望讀者可以從中看到一個(gè)擁有各種美好品質(zhì)的女孩，從她勇敢、獨(dú)立的人格中汲取力量。

創(chuàng)作之初，找資料是要花很多工夫的，所有相關(guān)的資料，包括諸如《雌木蘭替父從軍》《雙兔記》等明清小說(shuō)，都被葉露盈找來(lái)作為參考。

葉露盈曾糾結(jié)于用什么場(chǎng)景把這種淳樸的家庭氛圍和充滿溫馨的生活氣息展現(xiàn)出來(lái)，最后，她選擇了畫(huà)房子?！澳咎m畢竟長(zhǎng)在一個(gè)千夫長(zhǎng)的家庭里，她愿意為家人犧牲，一定是出自她對(duì)家人的愛(ài)，她肯定是擁有一個(gè)非常溫馨的、想要讓她去保護(hù)的、朝氣蓬勃的家庭，”葉露盈說(shuō)：“家庭一定帶給她很大的能量，讓她可以在年輕的時(shí)候作出勇敢的決定，一往無(wú)前地追尋理想。”

葉露盈筆下的房子一半?yún)⒖剂四媳背瘯r(shí)的建筑樣式，一半源自葉露盈的想象，其中不僅住著木蘭的父母姐弟，更有因畫(huà)家私心加進(jìn)去的木蘭的奶奶。2016年，葉露盈的外婆去世了，而此時(shí)還在讀研的葉露盈正在挪威留學(xué)，與親人天各一方的葉露盈甚至來(lái)不及趕回家見(jiàn)外婆最后一面。某種程度上來(lái)講，木蘭和自己有點(diǎn)像，都是年少背井離鄉(xiāng)、追尋理想。所以，在愛(ài)與溫暖下成長(zhǎng)的葉露盈，也更希望通過(guò)手中畫(huà)筆呈現(xiàn)的木蘭充滿愛(ài)與溫暖的能量。

從南北朝到唐代、明清直至現(xiàn)代，木蘭的故事經(jīng)久不衰，她像一個(gè)容器，在各個(gè)時(shí)代被注入新鮮血液。

木蘭是個(gè)經(jīng)久不衰的故事，隨著《木蘭辭》的出版，葉露盈創(chuàng)作的木蘭形象及木蘭精神被多種形式推廣，更是在十六屆中國(guó)國(guó)際動(dòng)漫節(jié)期間出現(xiàn)在杭州一號(hào)線和杭州江陵路地鐵站，吸引了無(wú)數(shù)乘客的視線和打卡拍照，讓我們?cè)谒囊还匆幻栝g重讀千年?yáng)|方故事。

Young Artist Illustrates The Ballad of Mulan ?

The summer of 2020 saw the publishing of a picture book featuring by Ye Luying， a young artist based in Hangzhou. It isnt the first picture book the 28-year-old artist created.

In 2016， her first ever picture book caused a sensation at Frankfurt Book Fair. It is based on a poetic fantasy written by Cao Zhi （192 –232）， a prince of the state of Wei?in the Three Kingdoms?period （220-280） of China， and an accomplished poet of his time. Gu Kaizhi （348-409）， a great artist of the following Jin Dynasty （265-420）， visualized the fantasy in a great painting. The 6.4-meter-long painting scroll is now in the collection of the Palace Museum in Beijing. Yes book of illustration was inspired by Gus masterpiece. In January 2018， Ye appeared with her visual interpretation of side by side with Gus masterwork in a phenomenal television series titled ?produced by and screened on CCTV， Chinas biggest television network. In the episode， she discussed details of Gus masterpiece and her picture book. The audience found her narrative amazing.

After her graduation from China Academy of Art based in Hangzhou， she completed her postgraduate course at Oslo National Academy of the Arts and obtained a master degree there. Now the 28-year-old artist teaches at China Academy of Art in Hangzhou.

The inspiration of making a book of illustrations of Mulan， the girl hero in the history of Chinese literature， emerged in 2018 when she was engaged to create a souvenir sheet of three postal stamps by the United Nations Postal Administration.

Her first sketch of the stamps emerged at a café where she spent six hours drawing the image of the legendary hero. She grew up with ， a narrative poem that is a special chapter in the history of Chinese literature. “You cant find a similar portrayal of a woman in Chinas literature. She is unique. The storyline shows how a young girl grows up to be a warrior. Such a life finds strong echoes in many people.

Ye did a thorough research on the subject. She even read stories about Mulan written in the Ming （1368-1644） and the Qing （1644-1911）. And she thought a lot about how to portray the home which Mulan grew up and left behind for the frontier and returned to after 12 years in war.

She decided to create a house， the center of Mulans world. “After all， her father is a government official and she loves her home and loves her parents and siblings when she decides to go to war. She draws courage and inspiration from her home and makes that brave decision and wants to do anything for her family when she is that young，” comments Ye Luying ardently.

The family house she created is half inspired by the architectural styles of the Southern and Northern Dynasties， and half out of her imagination. In the picture book， she creates Mulans grandmother， a character that doesnt appear in . The artist did so for a personal reason.

aternal grandmother passed away in 2016 when she was in Norway. She wasnt able to come back and see her before she died. Ye thought she was justified to add such a figure to her book of illustrations. After all， the story of Mulan and ?were edited and modified and adapted by writers and poets many times in ancient dynasties. In modern times， it has been adapted into films， operas， childrens books. And its popularity has long since spread overseas. In her own version， the grandmother embodies love， warmth， and care.

The posters featuring Mulan from Ye Luyings latest picture book appeared， during the 16^thChina International Cartoon and Animation Festival held from September 29^thto October 4 in Hangzhou， along Metro Line 1 and Jiangling station of Metro Line 1 in Hangzhou.
