Too Fast or Too Slow

A man was driving at 130 miles an hour when a policeman overtook him.

“Was I driving too fast， officer” the man asked.

“NO，” the policeman answered， “You were flying too slow.”

太慢或太快

TOM'S EXCUSE

A Box of Matches

Mother sent Tommy to the store across the street to buy a good box of matches. When Tommy came back， mother asked him，“Did you buy a good box of matches？”

“Yes， Mum.” Tommy replied，” I have tried them all.”

The Next Speaker

There was a meeting with a large number of people. At first the speaker was very interesting， but as time went on， he became very boring. Finally when he was through， there was only one man sitting in the large room.

The speaker walked up to the man and said， “Thank you for hearing me out when all the others left the room.”

“Oh！ Don't mention it！” replied the man， “I cannot leave because I am the next speaker！

演講者走過去跟那個(gè)人說：“謝謝你，其他人都走了，只有你還在聽我說?！?/p>

“噢，別客氣。”那個(gè)人回答說，”我不走，是因?yàn)槲沂窍乱晃谎葜v者！”
