●Four South China tiger cubs1 make debut2 in Hunan

The four South China tiger cubs， born on May 21st this year， made their first public appearance at the Changsha Ecological Zoo on September 26th.

The South China tiger is a rare kind of tiger with a population of only 203 in captivity3 worldwide by November last year.

Scientists have come up with a high-tech method to help protect endangered sea turtles. Using fake eggs with GPS trackers， researchers were able to track turtle eggs that were stolen and learn the locations of people buying and selling them.

●Canada is banning single-use plastic bags， straws7， and cutlery8 next year

The Canadian government promised to ban single-use plastics in 2021. Every year， Canadians throw away 3 million tons of plastic waste， only 9% of which is recycled， meaning that most of the plastic waste ends up in landfills and about 29，000 tons of waste finds its way into the natural environment.
