趴在竹節(jié)上的蟬,黃葛樹葉上的蟬,葵花上的蟬……在唐琦工作室,我們見到了各式各樣以蟬為主題的黃楊木雕作品。
今年54歲的唐琦,是重慶市工藝美術(shù)大師,市級非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)渝派黃楊木雕傳承人。
“黃楊木雕”“東陽木雕”“龍眼木雕”“金漆木雕”并稱為“中國四大木雕”。不同于東南沿海地區(qū)的以人物為主,中國工藝美術(shù)大師柯愈勄開創(chuàng)的“渝派黃楊木雕”,只雕花鳥魚蟲,以意境為主,在全國的黃楊木雕中獨(dú)樹一幟。
The cicada lying on the bamboo joint, the cicada on the leaves of the ficus virens, the cicada on the sunflower… At Tang Qi's studio, we saw various wood carvings of boxwood with cicada as the theme.
Tang Qi, 54 years old, is an arts and crafts master in Chongqing and the inheritor of Chongqing-school boxwood carving - a municipal intangible cultural heritage.
"Boxwood carving", "Dongyang relief", "Longyan wood carving" and "gold and lacquer wood carving"are known as "China's four major wood carvings".Different from the wood carvings based on figures in the southeast coastal areas, the "Chongqing-school boxwood carving" - created by Ke Yumin, a master of arts and handicrafts in China - only carves flowers,birds, fish and insects, with the artistic conception as the main, and has its own style among the boxwood carvings throughout China.

而唐琦于花鳥魚蟲中,又獨(dú)鐘于蟬。這是源自師傅柯愈勄定下的規(guī)矩:每個(gè)人必須有一個(gè)自己一生創(chuàng)作的“主體”。唐琦選擇蟬,或許正有以蟬自喻的成分。“蟬蛹在地底靜待七八年,甚至十幾年,才能破土存活短暫的三個(gè)星期,實(shí)為大器晚成、純潔永生的象征?!弊?007年拜師專職從事黃楊木雕,唐琦已經(jīng)專注刻蟬12年,“人的一輩子精力有限,如果能將一件事情做到極致,就是成功?!?/p>
所以,一切都在預(yù)料之中:唐琦的《螳螂捕蟬》在第十三屆工藝美術(shù)大師暨國際藝術(shù)精品博覽會上獲得“中國工藝美術(shù)精品獎(jiǎng)”金獎(jiǎng),《一葉知秋》獲2014年中國工藝美術(shù)大師精品博覽會金獎(jiǎng)……
Among flowers, birds, fish and insects, Tang Qi has special feelings for cicadas. This is derived from the rules set by Master KeYumin: everyone must have a "subject" of his lifetime creation. Tang Qi has chosen cicadas may partly because he has used them as a metaphor for himself. "The cicada pupas stay in the earth for seven or eight years, or even more than ten years, to break through the earth and survive for three short weeks. Cicada is really a symbol of late bloomer and pure eternal purity. "Tang Qi has been dedicated to cicada carving for 12 years since 2007, when he began to learn skills form masters and full-time engaged in boxwood carving,"People have limited energy in their whole life. If they can do one thing extremely well, it is success. ”
Therefore, everything was expected: Tang Qi's works "mantis stalking cicada" won the gold medal of "Chinese Arts and Crafts Excellent Award" in the 13th Arts And Crafts Masterwork Exhibition and International Crafts Exhibition, and his works "one falling leaf is indicative of the coming of autumn"won the gold medal of Chinese Arts And Crafts Masterwork Exhibition in 2014...
唐琦的桌上,各式雕刻刀一字排開,有的還是他專門設(shè)計(jì)制作的,“蟬的每個(gè)部分,都要用不同的工具?!碧歧窨痰南s,規(guī)格大都在5厘米內(nèi),紋理細(xì)致纖毫畢現(xiàn),除了合適的刀具,更考驗(yàn)著制作者的細(xì)心、耐心,手力、眼力?!巴瓿梢患窨套髌罚虅t20天,長時(shí)需兩個(gè)月?!?/p>
不過在唐琦看來,木工精細(xì)并不是一件作品最重要的地方。渝派黃楊木雕講究有“形”有“意”,“我有時(shí)會覺得以前的作品不夠好,覺得蟬不夠生動(dòng),便會用拿工具刀再修一修。有時(shí)也會想到更好的創(chuàng)作想法,便會整個(gè)推翻,重做?!?/p>
因木質(zhì)堅(jiān)韌、紋理細(xì)膩、色澤濕潤,黃楊木雕作品會隨著年深日久,顏色由淺轉(zhuǎn)深,愈發(fā)古樸。如今,作為柯愈勄的大弟子,唐琦也有了自己的徒弟。匠心,也就這樣在心手相傳中慢雕細(xì)琢,如一件件木雕作品一般由形而意,深沉、積淀。

But for Tang Qi, fine woodworking is not the most important thing about a piece of work.Chongqing-school boxwood carving is particular about "form" and "meaning". "I sometimes feel that some of my previous works are not good enough and cicadas are not vivid enough, then I will modify them with my tool knives. Sometimes I come up with better creative ideas, and I will tear the old works down and make new ones. ”

Due to their tough wood, fine texture and moist colors, the wood carving works of boxwood will change from light to dark in color and become more primitive with the passing years. Now, as KeYumin's big disciple,Tang Qi also has his own disciples. Craftsmanship is thus carefully carved in the process of being conveyed by heart and hand, just like wood carving works,gradually accumulating from shape to meaning,becoming deep.
