Abstract The landscape design of the Red Star·Xintiandi Exhibition Area in Liuzhou is studied. The landscape design of the main space includes entrance (declaration), vestibule (etiquette), entrance hall (distinguished), reception area (communication) and courtyard (artistic conception). The space design of plant landscape includes diversified plant configurations (multiple angels, multiple choices, and multiple levels) and artistic conception of plant space (colors, light and shadow, aroma and culture).

1 Introduction

The exhibition area is an image showing the early view of the residential area to the consumer. It has demonstrative, exemplary and commercial role. A good exhibition area is conducive to enhancing the influence and popularity of real estate brand. Creating a personalized exhibition image can enhance consumers’ perception of the living environment and attract their desire to purchase. The Red Star·Xintiandi Exhibition Area in Liuzhou extracts new Asia-style landscape elements, integrates into the modern regional culture of Liuzhou, expresses infiltration of life in garden, and creates a garden living style, thereby creating a brand image of nature, humanity and quality.

2 Overview of landscape of new Asian style

The New Asia-style landscape is supported by a strong Asian regional culture, incorporating modern Western culture. While paying more attention to the comfort of modern life, it enables the inheritance and development of the fine traditional culture of Asia. It is characterized by a highly refined complex view, simplification, and excelsior. It realizes the overall unification of the garden by focusing on the fun and using stone layout, and water designing. It creates a culturally rich artistic conception.

3 Project overview

The Red Star·Xintiandi Exhibition Area is located in the Hedong section of Chengzhong District, Liuzhou City, to the west of Donghuan Avenue, adjacent to Lianhua Mountain Scenic Area. The total area of the exhibition area is 11 000 m2. Using the water of Liujiang River and the mountains, rare stones and famous flowers of Liuzhou as the design source, this case is luxurious, elegant, exquisite and restrained. The design focuses on the interactive experience of people with space, detail and service. The difficulties of the landscape design of this exhibition area include the following: how to implant regional culture in landscape design? How to divide the space of the venue, optimize the marketing line and create a customer experience? How to form differences with surrounding projects, highlight its own characteristics and improve the premium of the project?

4 Landscape features of main space

The main space mainly includes the following five scenes: entrance (declaration), vestibule (etiquette), entrance hall (distinguished), reception area (communication) and courtyard (artistic conception).

4.1Entrance(declaration) The entrance area is the first impression left by the exhibition area. It is a transitional space between the exhibition area and the outside world, with functions such as guidance, identification and access. The entrance colored pond in this case is mainly composed of seasonal flowers, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The fa?ade design continues the fa?ade style of the sales office. The overall volume is 20 m long and 6.5 m high. Because the axis distance is too long, in order to avoid looking through the landscape behind the door,TerminalianeotalialaCapuron,CeltissinensisPers. and sweet tea olive are used as the background, and a purple svevo screen is designed. In addition to being used as an obstructive scenery, it also strengthens the indicative nature of the project’s external display, with appropriate volume and distinctive features, giving consumers an intuitive visual feast (Fig.1).

4.2Vestibule(etiquette) Water is the source of agility. Surging fountains and rows of suspended tree pools and characteristic landscape lights are like neat guard corps, creating a concierge in a multi-faceted manner. On the both sides,GinkgobilobaL.,PlumeriarubraL.,Lagerstroemiaindicacv "Bush",Loropetalumchinensevar. rubrum, andDurantarepenscv. Dwarf Yellow are planted. Near the building of the exhibition area,FicusbenjaminaL.,ExcoecariacochinchinensisLour.,RhododendronpulchrumSweet, andCordylinefruticosa(L.) A. Cheval. are planted. Near the enclosing wall,Fagraeaceilanica,L.chinensevar. rubrum,D.repenscv. Dwarf Yellow,SyzyglumhanceiMerr Et Perry,Scheffleraoctophylla(Lour.) Harms,Durantarepens‘Variegata’ andR.pulchrumSweet are planted. The plants planted on the both sides are uniform and varied. The end view of the vestibular space uses selected white marble walls as sight barrier. The vestibule is magnificent without losing the details, shielding all the noise off. It seems to be a prosperous world (Fig.2).

4.3Entrancehall(distinguished) The entrance hall is one of the central landscapes of the exhibition area. In the design, the landscape integrates the traditional Chinese ideas, such as borrowed scenery, obstructive and opposite scenery into the space, form and materials, which means infinite meaning[1]. In the entry platform to the sales office, there is exquisite project name, Red Star·Xintiandi. The copper-plated translucent stone wall enhances the fun, perfectly confining the boundaries of the safe space. The tolerance and nature is inherited in it. Four incense burner lights are arranged around, adding a noble environment to the entry platform.

4.4Receptionarea(communication) After entering the entrance hall, the fragrance is surging, and the bauhinia in the air is elegant and fragrant. The white sand is like a river, the rock is like a mountain, and the black and white textured marble wall is carefully selected. Natural texture, combined with fog spray and lighting effects, is like a natural ink painting, revealing a nice artistic conception (Fig.3). The reception area, s the central area for guest experience, incorporates the design of the garden landscape and the model house, carefully designed the plant-centered group, and creates a multi-level and diverse space full of scenes and human touch. 4.5Courtyard(artisticconception) There is a courtyard space with a Zen garden between the sales office and the model room. The design introduces a large amount of natural materials into the daily life space, such as stone, tree, water and light, making consumers even in a complicated city can also feel the imagery of the "nothing" in the East, the idea of "spirit", and the artistic conception of "emptiness". The courtyard is clean and leisurely (Fig.4).

5 Space creation features of plant landscape

5.1Diversifiedplantconfigurations

5.1.1Multiple views. Through the undulating and varied landscape basement frame, the landscape is constructed through multiple views and multiple scenes, harmonious with the garden road, sunset and people, forming a series of viewing angles such as overlooking and looking up. Plant configuration uses leaf morphology of different leaf types and different growth directions to create different visual experiences. Emphasis is placed on the small venues, especially the details of the space of the sales office and the entrance to the model area. In addition, the exhibition area will increase the amount of green plants, emphasizing ecology and nature, making plants an important embellishment for softening the image of the building.

5.1.2Multiple choices. The Red Star·Xintiandi Exhibition Area selects high-quality, low-cost and fast-growing plant varieties. While selecting seedlings, the impact of seasons on the plants, and the effects of soil on the plants, as well as the shape and color matching with surrounding plants are considered. High-quality intact plants are selected. The high-quality plants in the exhibition area includeG.bilobaL. (breast diameter 30 cm), sweet tea olive (breast diameter 25 cm), andCinnamomumcamphoraPresl (breast diameter 25 cm),C.sinensisPers. (double-trunked),Podocarpusmacrophyllus(Thunb.) D. Don andF.microcarpaLinn. f. In addition, native species such asO.europaeaL.,F.microcarpaLinn. f.,BauhiniavariegateandA.cunninghamiiSweet, economic fruit trees and plants with low maintenance and management costs are widely used to reduce costs and balance ecological sustainability.

5.1.3Multiple levels. The plant configuration in the Red Star·Xintiandi Exhibition Area is characterized with high planting density, rich layers, and bright colors. There are 5-6 layers of tree species to match the planting effect. 5.2Artisticconceptionofplantspace

5.2.1Colors. The beauty of the landscape changes with the changes in the season, time and weather[2]. The Red Star·Xintiandi Exhibition Area takes into account the contrast, color matching and timing of plant leaves to achieve the purpose of optimizing the viewing effect. In the project, fall-color trees includeS.sebiferum(L.) Roxb.,G.bilobaL.,A.palmatumThunb.,A.palmatumcv. Dissectum, cappadocicum andN.domestica, which create a lively, cheerful and bright space. In addition, flowers with strong fragrance and vibrant colors are selected to create a lively and romantic atmosphere.

5.2.2Light and shadow. The life track of plants can form a dynamic real scene with the participation of light and shadow. It is a kind of natural beauty, a kind of harmonious beauty, a kind of goodness and beauty. The plant landscape of the Red Star·Xintiandi Exhibition Area uses the faintness, virtual reality and movement of light perception (Fig.5) and changes in the brightness of the light source to establish the composition of the light, making the night space environment of the exhibition area colorful and full of the times. After stepping into it, people can feel the dialogue between light and shadow, and time and space, presenting the beauty of the shadows.

5.2.3Fragrance. The scent is the soul of plants and is the pursuit for beauty by human beings. It is the most distinctive in the ornamental of garden plants. The plant landscape in the Red Star·Xintiandi Exhibition Area pays attention to the creation of artistic conception and advocates focusing on the fragrance rather than the color of the plants. Aromatic plants are used to enhance the cultural heritage of the landscape, bringing unique charm and mood to the exhibition area. The aromatic plants used in the project include sweet tea olive,Lagerstroemiaspecious,P.rubraL. cv. Acutifolia,C.camphoraPresl,C.sasanquaThunb.,Cerasussp.,Gardeniajasminoides, andBarringtoniaracemosa(L.) Spreng.

5.2.4Culture. Based on the Liuzhou purple svevo culture with strong regional characteristics, the Red Star·Xintiandi Exhibition Area introduces Western culture to freely match traditional artistic conception with modern style. There are many kinds of plants that represent culture in this project. For example,Delonixregiasymbolizes the thoughts;P.rubraL. cv. 6 Conclusions

Chen Congzhou said that the best garden is like quatrain in poetry, and the short lyric in words, and it expresses inexhaustible meanings with a few words. The innovations in the space creation of the Red Star·Xintiandi Exhibition Area are as follows. (i) It is rooted in the purple svevo culture of a hundred miles of Liujiang River. It constructs the landscape uniformly through the cultivation of plants and the use of harmony, contrast, change and unified landscape in traditional techniques. In a limited space, under the interaction between invisible scene and tangible landscape, it creates an avant-garde, apocalyptic, interactive interesting place. (ii) It uses a large number of water features as a core element of the overall landscape planning. The combination of dynamic and static renders a distinct and unique atmosphere of emotional experience. (iii) It injects the simple and fashionable new-Asia landscape elements into the LOGO and subjects them into evolution, as a motif, forming a formal language, and building story clues and unique memory points. (iv) It modernizes the Japanese landscape, keeps pace with the times and caters to the aesthetic needs of modern people. In short, the exhibition area has built people’s poetic dwellings, and pays tribute to the citizens of Liuzhou with works rich in regional culture. The effect of the entire exhibition area is significant after completion (Fig.6)
