On September 20th， 2018 World Textile Merchandising Conference· Round Table Conference of World-renowned Enterprises was held in Keqiao.

The conference was moderated by Chen Dapeng， Vice President of CNTAC and Executive Vice President of China National Garment Association. He expressed that in the future， Chinas textile industry would establish an more open， more flexible and more three-dimensional industrial development pattern under the principles of “co-consulting， coconstruction and sharing”. Xu Yingxin， Vice President of CNTAC and Executive Vice President of CCPIT-TEX proposed two opinions： enterprises having conditions should firmly respond to the Belt and Road Initiative to accelerate internalization progress especially in African countries； Chinas textile industry should accelerate transformation and upgrading towards the mainstream directions labeled by technology， fashion and greenness so that it can truly become a powerful country. Vice president Zhang Xian of China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Textiles expressed that now China textile and garment export was in a structural adjustment phase， so foreign trade enterprises should grasp this opportunity to create a more highly efficient international supply chain， elevate lean production and design and R&D; levels and become catalysts of the industrial transformation and upgrading.

As an important constituent part of 2018 World Textile Merchandising Conference， the Round Table Conference paid high attention to the hot industrial issue How the Textile and Garment Industry Can Realize High-quality and Internationalized Development. Representatives from well-known enterprises within the global textile industry each expressed their opinions， examined opportunities and challenges presently faced by the global textile industry from an international perspective and proposed their feasible suggestions over how various countries and regions carried out collaboration and propelled the textile and garment industry to realize sustainable， high-quality and internationalized development by sharing their business stories and classical cases in their respective fields.

Tong Jisheng， Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Shanghai Orient International （Holding） Co.， Ltd. suggested that enterprises should examine the coordination among industry chain， value chain and supply chain within the global scope. Sun Weiting， President of Huafu Fashion Co.， Ltd. suggested that textile and garment entrepreneurs must innovate and cope with changes with new marketing patterns， new R&D; patterns， new supply chain patterns and new manufacturing patterns. Sun Yonggen， President of Zhejiang Tiansheng Holding Group Co.， Ltd. expressed that to realize high-quality and internationalized development， Chinas textile and garment industry must establish a high-quality， low-cost， multivariety and brand-creating system. Vice President Mustafa Denizer of Turkish Federation of Textile Entrepreneurs believed that Turkey was at an advanced level in aspects of textile production， export and machinery investment but it must make further efforts in the aspect of global development and seek for outstanding cooperative partners in overseas market. Vice President Dongchang Jung of Korean Federation of Fiber Industry introduced conditions of Korean textile industry and comprehensively analyzed development of Chinas textile and garment industry. Thailand envoy Witit Teeramungcalanon hoped that colleagues in Chinas textile industry could participate in exhibitions held in Thailand to understand potentials of Thailand textile and garment industry and jointly exploit new business opportunities.

President Liu Zibin of Luthai Textile Co.， Ltd. introduced successful practice of Luthai regarding“high-quality and internationalized development”. He expressed that enterprises should create new engines intended for high-quality enterprise development through intelligent manufacturing， innovation driving， deep integration and green development. General Manager Wei Jiakun of Weiqiao Textile Co.， Ltd. expressed that faced with the new normal， Weiqiao Textile had carefully implemented national requirements for deepening supply-side reform. Led by concept innovation， it continuously promoted product innovation， technological innovation and marketing innovation. Zhang Jie， Chairman of China Hi-Tech Group Corporation expressed that in order to truly realize high-quality cooperation and mutual benefits or innovative development， the textile industry should accelerate creating international brands： implement international industrial specialization under the guidance of the Belt and Road Initiative； innovative development， especially develop key points like new business models. Ma Jianrong of Shenzhou International Group Holdings Limited expressed that good enterprises themselves were brands. That Chinese enterprises should gradually step out referred to catering to market demands of clients， making good voices of China and telling good Chinese stories. Vice President Yang Zhijian of Zhejiang Transfar Chemical Engineering Group Co.， Ltd. expressed that garment enterprises must strive for a comprehensive development from perspectives of perfection of industry chain， integration of supply chains and improvement of value chain in order to realize high-quality development. President Fu Shuangli of Zhejiang Yingfeng Technology Co.， Ltd. deemed that in order to realize high-quality and internationalized development， we must promote qualitative improvement of the industry and conduct transformation from extensive management into fine management， from high-energy-consumption and high-pollution enterprises into green dyeing and printing enterprises， from traditional factories into intelligent factories and from traditional dyeing and printing factories into autonomous dyeing and printing factories. President Zhegn Gang of Reignwood Aviation Group expressed that since this year， Keqiao District was continuously optimizing investment development environment. Rightly because of the fine investment environment， Reignwood Group was more determined to investing and taking root in Shaoxing. General Secretary Matthijs Crietee of International Garment Alliance expressed that the world needed China as China needed the world. The financial crisis had come to an end， but many enterprises were struggling in retail markets in America and Europe. To directly face challenges， we should seek for stability in the unstable international trade environment firstly.

Sun Ruizhe， President of CNTAC expressed when giving a summary of the conference that high-quality development meant high efficiency， high quality and high sense of responsibility for the textile industry， including being responsible for consumers and employees， for the environment and for the market competition. He represented that high-quality development was a common aspiration of the global textile industry. With the opportunity of the first 2018 World Textile Merchandising Conference， a sustainable platform， which gathered global mercers and elites in the textile industry to talk about the future and realize win-win cooperation， would be created in Keqiao so as to promote responsible and sustainable healthy development of the global textile industry.
