It was a classic night.The noisy Mexico City gradually calmed down.The main stadium of Olympic track and field competition was enveloped in the darkness．

After he finished making the scenes the marathon winners ma rked the victory， Greenspan， the world famous newsreel （紀(jì)錄片）producer，found the stadium empty.It was time for him to return to the hotel for a rest.He was about to leave when he suddenly saw a man with his right leg stained（玷污）with the blood run into the stadium.This man ran lamely out of breath，but he didn't stop.After he ran along the runway for a circle and got to the goal，he broke down on the ground..．

Greenspan guessed this was a marathon athlete.Out of curiosity，he went over to ask why the athlete wanted to run to the goal with such a difficulty．

The young man called Kowari from Tanzania replied gently， “That my country sent me here from more than 20，000 kilometers is not let me get off the mark in the competition，but make me complete the game.I want to run to the goal， though I have fallen behind all other runners， I have a sacred（神圣的）goal like them：I will run to the goal.Though the audience won't cheer me any more，my motherland is watching me intently（聚精會神地）from behind...”

Tears welled up in Greenspan's eyes.Soon，he spread the most touching scene in the history of the Olympic Games to every corner of the world．

Life should have a dream of reaching the peak，yet we should understand not everybody has the ability to do it.The most important is not whether we can reach the peak but whether we have made the greatest efforts—to reach the goal in the mind is a success．

享譽國際的紀(jì)錄片制作人格林斯潘將當(dāng)天馬拉松比賽優(yōu)勝者們慶祝勝利的鏡頭制作完畢后，才發(fā)現(xiàn)體育場內(nèi)已空無一人，自己該回賓館休息了。他剛要離開體育場，突然看到一個右腿沾滿血污跑進(jìn)體育場的人。這個人一瘸一拐地跑著，氣喘吁吁，卻沒有停下來。他順著跑道跑了一圈，抵達(dá)終點后，一下癱倒在地……

格林斯潘猜想，這是一名馬拉松運動員。在好奇心的驅(qū)使下，他走了過去，詢問這名運動員為什么要這么吃力地跑到終點。

這位來自坦桑尼亞名叫?？送呃锏哪贻p人輕聲回答說：“我的國家從兩萬多公里外送我來這里，不是叫我在這場比賽中起跑，而是派我來完成這場比賽的。我要跑向終點，盡管我已經(jīng)落在奔跑隊伍的最后面，但我有著和他們一樣神圣的目標(biāo)：我要跑到終點。盡管不再有觀眾為我加油，但我身后有祖國的凝望……”

格林斯潘淚光盈盈。很快，他就用鏡頭將奧運史上這最動人的一幕傳遞到世界的每個角落。

人生應(yīng)該擁有登臨峰頂?shù)膲粝?，但更?yīng)該懂得不是每個人都有到達(dá)峰頂?shù)哪芰?。最重要的不是能否到達(dá)峰頂，而是是否盡到了最大努力——到達(dá)心中的目標(biāo)，便是一種成功。
