據(jù)考證,琉璃雕刻最早出現(xiàn)在清康熙年間,至乾隆時期技藝更精、珍品迭出,那時宮廷內作坊中就有博山工匠。中華人民共和國成立后,博山更是成為琉璃雕刻工藝品的重要產(chǎn)地,在國際藝術史上享有極高的聲譽。在漫長的時光長河里,博山琉璃雕刻越來越精致,也越來越有味道。
說到琉璃雕刻,迄今為止,只有山東博山的能工巧匠有此技藝,可謂一枝獨秀。
琉璃雕刻屬于冷工。所謂冷工,簡單地說就是在成型后的琉璃坯上進行研磨、切割等以達到理想器型。這是一個復雜細密的加工過程,要經(jīng)過吹制成型、套料、整型、磨面、設計圖型、加溫涂蠟、刻畫輪廓、落地打砂、浮雕研磨、精雕細刻、拋光等十幾道工序。
或花竹美草,或珍禽異獸,或亭臺殿宇,或人物故事,要雕刻到琉璃制品上,先要根據(jù)作品的尺寸、顏色、造型等具體情況,設計出適合雕琢的圖案,再用金剛石輪在料器上一點一點打磨。金剛石輪或大如蓋杯,或小如柴頭,圖案中多余的部分靠輪子磨掉,使設計好的圖案躍然瓶上。然后經(jīng)過粗磨和細磨,瓶上圖案逐漸清晰。
其中,尤為關鍵的步驟是“細雕”。處理圖案細微之處,工匠須全神貫注。比如雕刻人物的五官和面部表情時,須屏住呼吸,稍有不慎,就會前功盡棄。琉璃瓶一般有2-5公斤重,須穩(wěn)托手中,雕琢凹凸不平處時極易碎裂,需極其精湛的手藝和極大的耐心。一個技術熟練的藝人用傳統(tǒng)設備生產(chǎn)一對八寸雕琢瓶,通常需2-3個月的時間。
根據(jù)雕刻器型顏色不同,琉璃雕刻分為單色料器雕刻和套色料器雕刻。前者多選用雞油黃、雞肝石等名貴色料,以純色取勝,雕琢紋飾樸實無華,深受收藏者青睞,如《秋趣》《羅漢》等。后者則是琉璃制品區(qū)別于玉石器的獨特工藝,即在琉璃制品表面套上一層或多層與底色不同的色料再雕刻,如《老子出關》《竹林七賢》等,刻出的花紋有浮雕效果,神形兼?zhèn)?,琳瑯悅目,觀賞和收藏價值更高。套一色的較多,套三色的作品就已屬珍品,琉璃雕刻大師張維用創(chuàng)作過八套色琉璃雕刻品,技藝精湛。
在溜滑的瓶面上雕刻本身就有極高的難度,而套色料器雕刻難度無異于“冰上跳芭蕾”。琉璃雕刻專家、連續(xù)11年獲得23個金獎的中國玻璃(琉璃)藝術大師信德勝受陶瓷微雕的啟迪,于2010年12月,獨辟蹊徑創(chuàng)作了《道德經(jīng)》和《金剛經(jīng)》兩件微雕琉璃瓶,被業(yè)界公認為開創(chuàng)了“琉璃微雕”的先河。微雕作品是在十幾倍放大鏡下,借助燈光一筆一劃刻出來的,每個字米粒大小,只有在放大鏡下才能看清楚。

博山琉璃雕刻就是這樣,既保留著傳統(tǒng),又在傳承中創(chuàng)新發(fā)展。琉璃工藝,在時光的長河里,熔鑄了博山的昨天和今天,也同時把博山雕琢得越來越精致、越來越有味道。

According to research, colored glaze carving originally appeared in the Kangxi Period of the Qing Dynasty.In the Qianlong Period, more refined and valuable carvings emerged, and there were craftsmen from Boshan in the royal workshop. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Boshan becomes an important production area of colored glaze carving crafts, and enjoys a high reputation in the international art history. In the long river of time, the colored glaze carving of Boshan has become more and more delicate, and more and more glamorous.
Speaking of colored glaze carving, so far, only the skillful craftsmen of Boshan, Shandong, have mastered such a technique, outshining others in this field. Colored glaze carving belongs to cold processing. In short, cold processing refers to grinding and cutting the formed colored glaze so as to achieve the ideal shape. It is a complicated and detailed process, and requires a dozen procedures like blowing,nesting, form adjustment, finishing, pattern design, heating& waxing, outlining, sandblasting on ground, relief grinding,elaborate carving and polishing.
