My father likes smoking very much. Every month he spends much money to buy① cigarettes. He doesnt know how to stop smoking. Under② my help， he eventually got rid of his bad habit.

One day， I said to father， “Dad， I feel terribly③ when you smoke. I find it difficult to study at home. I didnt do well in the midterm exam. Our teacher says smoking is harmful to ones health.” “I am sorry， dear. I want to stop smoking. But I cant do that. Can you help me？” “Dad， if you can stop smoking， I will get the first place in the final-term exam.” “Really？ Ill bet with you.”

From then on， my father doesnt smoke any more. I can breathe the fresh air again. How happily④ we are！

1. 優(yōu)點(diǎn)：

小作者講述了自己通過和爸爸打賭，成功地幫爸爸改掉了吸煙的壞習(xí)慣。文章中心突出、層次分明、語言流暢。文章開頭巧妙設(shè)置懸念，激發(fā)了讀者的閱讀興趣。

2. 需要修改的地方：

①to buy改為buying。spend money （on） doing sth. 意為“在……上花了……錢”。

②Under改為With。with ones help意為“在……的幫助下”。

③terribly改為terrible。feel是系動(dòng)詞，后面可直接加形容詞。

④happily改為happy。be動(dòng)詞后應(yīng)接形容詞。

3. 評(píng)分：

按中考英語作文滿分20分的評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，本文修改前可得18分。
