○人物雕刻栩栩如生,纖毫畢現。Every figure carving with descriptive quality is as vivid as life.
“三雕”即木雕、石雕和磚雕,是獨具中國特色的傳統(tǒng)建筑藝術,多以自然萬物為題材,通過其形象或諧音寄托人們的精神訴求。漫步在臺兒莊古城,于細微處觀察這里的一磚一瓦、一木一石,中國傳統(tǒng)裝飾圖案講究“圖必有意,意必吉祥”的特征隨處可見。
萬家大院是清代中晚期臺兒莊“燕、尤、趙、萬”四大家中萬家的府邸,其豪華程度為城內之最。清親王將領僧格林沁為剿捻軍曾坐鎮(zhèn)于此,受到萬家盛情招待,因而賜予萬家十余歲的后輩七品銜。
走進萬家大院,隨處都能見到形態(tài)各異、寓意豐富的“三雕”圖案,題材豐富,形式多樣,既有精彩小品,也不乏“鴻篇巨制”,充分將中華民俗文化與儒釋道思想融為一體,成為傳承中國古老文明的一種載體。更因為其體現了清代纖細繁密的雕刻風格,而成為“三雕”藝術中的典范。
古人對大門的要求很高,被稱為“以門為禮”。大戶人家通過大門向外人展示生活品位,表達美好意愿。萬家大院的門樓分兩層,上面的木雕做工精美,雕刻的內容包括詩、琴、書、畫,下面是人物,為全家和美、孩童歡愉的形象,展示家庭的祥和美滿、富貴幸福;角柱石上的雕刻是“獅子和球”,寓意“世世得逑”;大門兩側的磚雕一面是芙蓉,一面是荷花,象征富貴和諧;垂帶石的圖案為抬頭祈福,步步高升之意;柱礎石四面均雕有獅子,寓意“四世同堂”。
走進前院,廂房兩側匾額上的木雕,講述了萬家的發(fā)家史。大門內側的磚雕一邊是喜鵲和梅花,寓意“喜上眉梢”,另一邊是青青翠竹,寓意“節(jié)節(jié)高升”。上面花飾斗拱、撐拱和雀替上的木雕,刻有婆媳、公孫和王羲之等人物圖案,取其諧音,意為婆媳相惜、公孫相惜、家庭和睦美滿。窗子上的木雕為“百?!焙汀鞍賶邸?。房上的鴟吻上還刻有祥云圖案,取“祥云落在房子上”的造型,寓意“紫氣東來”。
院中,“卍”字紋隨處可見?!皡d”在梵文中讀作“室利靺蹉”,意為吉祥之所集。相傳釋迦牟尼胸部有此“瑞相”,后來人們普遍將它當作吉祥的標志。唐代武則天將該字規(guī)定讀作“萬”,象征萬壽升平、國泰民安、百業(yè)興旺、國富民強。
后院門樓上還雕有松鼠和成串的葡萄,寓意“送子”“多子多?!薄叭硕∨d旺”。旁邊還有兩個仙童手持如意,意思是“送如意到人間”,祝福這家人“萬事如意”。這里的垂帶石為南瓜造型,藤蔓相連,寓意子嗣延綿、男丁興旺。兩邊窗戶的木雕為梅、蘭、竹、菊“四君子”,蘭象征謙謙君子,菊象征品格高尚,竹象征高雅,梅則象征堅忍不拔。院中磚雕上還雕刻著“二十四孝”的故事。磚雕下面的木雕為松、竹、梅、鶴,松竹梅常被人們稱為“歲寒三友”,寓意做人要有品德、有志向、有氣節(jié),而“鶴”寓意長壽。窗子上的木雕有倒掛的蝙蝠、花瓶和孩子,倒掛的蝙蝠寓意“福到”,花瓶代表“平安”,孩童象征家丁興旺、合家歡愉、富貴相傳。

西跨院墻上的磚雕是《西廂記》圖案,講述張生與崔鶯鶯這對有情人沖破禮教終成眷屬的故事;柱礎石上的雕刻是琴、棋、書、畫和梅、蘭、竹、菊;西南院門上的木雕上為“罄”,下為“魚”,寓意為“吉慶有余”;西門兩側的獅子,雄獅抓球,意為扭轉乾坤;雌獅撫摸小獅子,意為母儀天下。
除“三雕”外,萬家大院中還有元寶、金蟬吐水等蘊含吉祥寓意的雕塑小品,院中所植銀杏樹,也已有300多年樹齡。通觀整座院落,萬家大院以四合院為基本結構,采用青磚青瓦的梁柱式磚木體式,樓高院深,墻厚基寬,設計精巧,雕刻考究,古意盎然,堪稱臺兒莊古城傳統(tǒng)民居院落中的典型代表。

The ancient people had very h igh requ i rement for t he gate,which was called as “Taking the gate as manners”. The rich families would like to show their lifestyle to strangers and express good fortune by the gate. The gate includes two floors, the wood carvings on the upper floor are exquisite including poems, musical instruments, books and drawings, while the carving on the bottom f loor are images of happy families which show the wealth and happiness of the family.
With a quadrangle courtyard as the basic structure, Wan Mansion used the beam-post wood and brick frame. Wan Mansion is a huge, highwa l led bu i ldi ng w it h elaborate design, which makes it as a typical example of traditional courtyards in the ancient city, Taierzhuang.
