*阿那克里翁（Anacreon），古希臘詩人，因他的祝酒詩而聞名。洛夫克拉夫特喜愛的一首英國祝酒詩歌名為To Anacreon in Heaven，美國國歌The Star-Spangled Banner正是以此歌做為配曲的。

簡介：

霍華德·菲利普·洛夫克拉夫特（Howard Phillips Lovecraft，1890年-1937年）是美國著名的恐怖奇幻小說作家，因小說里獨(dú)特的世界觀以及虛構(gòu)的神話體系而聞名。早期的作品多有超自然主義的色彩。

詩歌選于洛夫克拉夫特的短篇小說The Tomb，寫于1917年，屬于他早期的作品。該篇小說的版本以Penguin Group于2001年出版，2002年再版的洛夫克拉夫特小說集The Thing on the Doorstep and Other Weird Stories中收錄的為主。

主人公Jervas Dudley的精神狀態(tài)異于常人，他所能感知到的，或是能看到的，都與一般人不同。他長期沉浸在古老又鮮為人知的書籍中，缺少交流，性格內(nèi)向。Dudley在接觸到家附近的一座古墓室以后，受到已逝者靈魂的影響。他有時(shí)候突然像變了個人，在一次與家人用餐時(shí)，豪爽地念出了Gaudeamus這首祝酒歌，這很顯然是與他內(nèi)向的性格相反的。而且在故事里這首詩歌根本未在任何書籍中有過記載。

小說里該詩歌并未標(biāo)上標(biāo)題。根據(jù)書本中的注釋，洛夫克拉夫特的手稿中出現(xiàn)過這首詩，并且?guī)в袠?biāo)題“Gaudeamus”，故這里給詩歌添上這一標(biāo)題。
