Roast Lamb Chop
Beef and lamb are indispensable delicacies on the steppe; and roast lamb chop is one of the best known.Cooked lamb chops are brushed with chili oil made according to a secret recipe and other sauces before going into the oven.The lamb chops are golden in color and soft in texture with the spicy aroma of the sauceDeverything seems just right.
Wild Mushroom Chicken Soup
Wild mushrooms are one of the local specialties at Shandan Horse Ranch and come in three colors: yellow, white and green. Yellow and green ones are the tastiest. Cooked with chicken raised locally and seasoned with a few wolfberries, the soup is a divine delicacy with high medical value.
Ranch Yogurt
The milk of the ranch yogurt comes from the free-range local yaks.Yuk milk is rich and aromatic. The yogurt made from yak's milk comes in bulk and tastes sour; it is only edible with some white granulated sugar and even stirs. Compared with other kinds of yogurt, yak yogurt is purer and has better nutrition. It is one of the must-eat ranch delicacies.

Chicken Roll
This is a dish combining staple food and side dishes.Pressure cooker is required because of the low boiling point on the highland. Dip rolled noodle sheets in the canola oil and spread salt on it. Roll the sheets to the shape of cylinder and cut them to small chunks. Put the chunks into the pot of meat that has been cooked to medium and simmer for another 20 minutes. And the dish of both noodle and meat is done.
Stir-fried Calf Meat
The meat comes from the 2 to 3-year-old calves raised locally. Seasoned meat chunks with water are cooked in the pressure cooker with high heat for half an hour. Afterwards the meat is poured into the wok with some green onion, ginger, and garlic for fl avors and stir-fried with a little highland barley wine.It is ready when the meat is tenderDthe meat is fresh and juicy, not chewy at all. This is a delicacy actually cooked in every household.
