A Resounding Voice from the 6th World Chinese Economic Forum We Will Try to Cultivate Our Own Entrepreneurs Idols

Jack Ma, chairman of Alibaba, is the second in world 50 chairmen published on Fortune, an American magazine, in 2017. Words for him and Alibaba are:Make e-commerce be a motivation to promote the world economic development and help the global small and medium-sized enterprises to expand market.

“They changed the world and encourage the others to do same things”, a reason of Fortune to publish the Chairmen List. There are many business chairmen idolized by Chinese entrepreneurs, like Bill Gates,a business idol, Konosuke Matsushita, an expert in management and Li Ka-shing, a business model, etc.,who have an extensive and deep in fl uence to Chinese people who are creating wealth.

“We will try to cultivate our own entrepreneurs idols”,a resounding voice from the 6th World Chinese Economic Forum held in Chongqing on 4, December 2014, which is in accordance with the perception of“Business Idols” advocated in Fortune.

The 6th World Chinese Economic Forum was held by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT) and Malaysia Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute, undertaken by Chongqing Municipal People’s Government. The theme for this forum was “Balanced Increase, Shared Prosperity” and there were four topics to discuss: “Roles that China plays in the global and regional economy”, “Development of urbanization and real estate--new challenge, new tendency and new opportunities”, “To promote the increase in global and regional business—key elements of enterprises and entrepreneurs to be successful” and “The maritime silk road, enhance the development of interconnection,logistic and supply chain”. This forum had been held fi ve times in Malaysia and Australia, it has been being a significant international forum. It is the first time to hold in Chongqing of China for increasing international popularity of this city, which hopes that more Chinese entrepreneurs can develop at here. The success of this form supplies a platform for overseas Chinese to realize Chongqing and invest to here, besides, it gives a condition to Chongqing’s entrepreneurs to know the global economy and expand international market better.

In this forum, there were more than 20 leaders from the west and east and over 500 super Chinese entrepreneurs from overseas, including Muhyiddin Yassin, vice Prime Minister of Malaysia, Hor Nam Hong, vice Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, former president of Indonesia, etc. Views of guests were full of wit and gave a shock to Chinese entrepreneurs’ mind, which

were put forward by James David, president of American Business and International Strategy Corporation, Chen Jungui, founder of Lifeng Assets Management Co., Ltd., chairman of World Chinese Economic Forum, and Yeat Sew Chuong, chairman of Malaysia GD Development Personal Co., Ltd., etc.

Among them, William ? Lai, chairman of Asian Affairs in Commercial Lawyers Association, Victoria, Australia, said that China should cultivate their own entrepreneurs idols, like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs etc., admired by people. He also said, Chinese society has formed a class of entrepreneurs with a large scale, spirit of creating wealth and ideal since 30 years of reform and opening up, people in this class have promoted Chinese economy to market and to the whole world.

As a single of this era, entrepreneurs’ idols not only influenced people’s daily life by their enterprises and products, but also influenced our society by their thoughts and ideas as a model in social business. Their stories of starting a business, ideas of running a company and art of managing a corporation are the inspiring events in the fi eld of commerce, besides; they are spiritual motivation in business circle.

Compared with the west, we are lack of entrepreneurs’ idols in China, like Jack Ma. There are many outstanding people in all walks of life; we should cultivate some idols among them to lead Chinese entrepreneurs reach a higher level by taking them as an example.
