Long-Distance Pet Pleaser

Crowd funding website Kickstarter recently brought out a Chinesedesigned robot called Anthouse, which enables people to play with their pets left at home. With Anthouse, you can now sit in your offi ce and control your robot back home with an iOS / Android APP. The front-facing camera on the robot allows you to check on your pets, take photos and videos. You can even communicate to your pet using its in-take speaker, or throw a mini tennis ball.

最近，眾籌網(wǎng)站Kickstarter出現(xiàn)了一款來自中國的逗寵神器：Anthouse機(jī)器人。其采用類似坦克般的造型，利用iOS / Android應(yīng)用程序，在公司上班的寵物主們可以遠(yuǎn)程控制Anthouse機(jī)器人，與他們的萌寵互動。通過應(yīng)用程序，主人不僅可以通過機(jī)器人的前置攝像頭實(shí)時查看寵物的情況，還可以引導(dǎo)機(jī)器人拍攝圖像和視頻，通過內(nèi)置揚(yáng)聲器與寵物互動，還能發(fā)射迷你網(wǎng)球。

Eco-friendly Shoes

Vivobarefoot, a minimalist running shoe company based in London, has announced its partnership with BLOOM, an American plant-based materials manufacturer. The companies have collaborated to create the Ultra III, a shoe made from ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam. BLOOM's EVA foam is derived from algae biomasses at high risk of algal bloom. Every pair will help re-circulate 57 gallons of fi ltered water back into natural habitats, and prevent the equivalent of 40 balloons full of CO2being released into the Earth's atmosphere. Harmful and uncontrolled algal blooms can deplete oxygen in the water and block sunlight from reaching fi sh and plants. Left unchecked,this algae could also release toxins that are dangerous to humans and animals or pollute drinking water.

水藻制鞋

以“赤足健康”為理念的英國品牌Vivobarefoot近日宣布，與環(huán)保材質(zhì)公司Bloom合作開發(fā)新型材料“BloomFoam”，以藻類生物為原料，制成EVA泡沫，減少碳排放。為制成一雙這樣的鞋子需要收集的水藻數(shù)量，就相當(dāng)于要清理220升的水。這些水在清理結(jié)束之后，還會運(yùn)回湖中。在淡水水源收集水藻，對于生態(tài)環(huán)境也是有益的。因?yàn)樗翢o忌憚瘋長的水藻會消耗水中的氧氣和陽光，釋放對人類和動物有害的毒素，破壞水源和海洋的生態(tài)平衡。

Sleeping under the Stars

SkyScape, an architecturally designed, glass-roofed accommodation building on a 6000-acre high country station near Twizel in the Mackenzie region of New Zealand opened in April.
