2014年10月6日，中國安邦宣布以19.5億美元（約合120億元人民幣）收購美國紐約華爾道夫酒店整棟大樓；2015年2月1日凌晨，安邦保險集團(tuán)宣布此項(xiàng)收購已經(jīng)獲得美國外國投資委員會的批準(zhǔn)。那時，酒店業(yè)內(nèi)還沒有多少人意識到國際酒店業(yè)和中國投資方的并購大戲?qū)⒕痛藵L動上演，也沒有想到從2015年到2016年中國幾個保險集團(tuán)和幾大旅游住宿業(yè)集團(tuán)的國際化資本步伐會如此之快之大，令人眼花繚亂。兩年以來，無論是安邦、國壽、平安的金融保險系，還是錦江，首旅，海航，港中旅，國旅，嶺南的酒店系，都緊鑼密鼓接連出手，數(shù)百億美元加近千億人民幣的交易額攪動得風(fēng)生水起。那一邊趕快占些海外資本份額為未來發(fā)展買定保險，這一邊盤整國內(nèi)資源去粗取精做大做強(qiáng)。

兩年后的今天，2017年3月2日，那邊的紐約華爾道夫酒店宣布關(guān)門謝客，如約開始全面裝修改造；這邊的國內(nèi)酒店業(yè)似乎大格局已妥，蛋糕已分，一切塵埃落地。
