Cholangiocytes in health and disease: from basic science to novel treatments

        June 9-11, 2017; Oslo, Norway

The conference will address major novel findings on the pathophysiology of biliary diseases and bile acid metabolism; implications of the gains in knowledge on the current and future clinical practice will be discussed. It will be the perfect venue for young scientists and clinicians to present their work and listen to key opinion leaders about what will be important in science and in clinics in the coming years. Participants will learn about the development of the biliary tree, morphological features of cholangiocytes and their role in normal liver physiology and in the metabolism/homeostasis of bile acids. Moreover, the clinical features of cholangiopathies and the molecular mechanism triggering their development will be covered in detail, as well as new emerging diagnostic and therapeutic tools, biliary tree, anatomy and 3D structure, bioengineering, cholangiocyte pathophysiology, immunity, genetics, carcinogenesis, cholangiocarcinoma, clinical practice, biomarkers, and diseases management. The 3rd EACR conference on cancer genomics is the premier European conference dedicated to cancer genomics. It will update you on the latest exciting developments: cancers as communities of clones and communities of cells, liquid biopsies, genomics and cancer immunology, mutational processes, and genomic and immune system landscapes of human cancers. Topics include: 1) Immunology in the age of single cell genomics; 2) Oncomicrobiota; 3) Towards deciphering the functional genetic and neo antigenic landscape in cancer; 4) T cell recognition of human cancer; 5) Exploiting acquired vulnerabilities of drug resistant tumours; 6) Precision medicine; 7) Clonal and cellular heterogeneity landscapes of cancer; 8) Role of rare mutations in the onset of cancer; 9) Tumour genomes shed light into mutational processes and cancer vulnerabilities; 10) Molecular analysis of circulating tumour cells; 11) Inferring expressed genes by whole-genome sequencing of plasma DNA; 12) Predicting relapse using circulating tumour DNA; 13) Patient-derived primary cancer cells, integrative omics and functional drug testing; and 14) Tracking cancer evolution. Cancer genomics 2017 will be relevant to participants from across a number of fields including cancer medicine, cancer biology, translational research, bioinformatics, epigenomics, cancer immunology and molecular pathology. Importantly, early career researchers will have the opportunity to present their work to the international community.
