我們的藝術(shù)家設(shè)想了那些勇敢的商人、冒險(xiǎn)家和外交官們是如何穿越蒙古國的廣袤沙漠的,以及他們在旅途中所遇到的一切。絲綢之路的重要意義毋庸置疑,其他國家的藝術(shù)家們可能也創(chuàng)造了類似的作品來表現(xiàn)這一點(diǎn),但蒙古國,作為絲路永遠(yuǎn)的鄰居,藝術(shù)家們想要描繪的是沙漠中戈壁灘人的日常生活、游牧民的生活方式,以及駱駝這一當(dāng)時(shí)最好的交通工具。古代的蒙古文明與現(xiàn)代人想象的大不相同。沒有任何的城市化可言,城邦的興與亡,都只能遵從自然意志,交給時(shí)間來審判,幾乎沒有留存下來可供研究的材料。但在藝術(shù)中,任何東西都可以通過藝術(shù)家的想象力、才華和辛勤創(chuàng)作得到重建,帶給人驚奇與贊嘆。由于我們曾經(jīng)是游牧民族,我們的藝術(shù)家想要利用自己獨(dú)特的當(dāng)代藝術(shù)技巧來突出表現(xiàn)這一點(diǎn)。展覽的參觀者們將從作品中體驗(yàn)到沙丘反射出的光的彩虹般的色澤。每一件藝術(shù)品都充滿了豐富的色彩,生動(dòng)而明亮,我們希望以當(dāng)下的視角向參觀者展示曾經(jīng)的色彩。

Our artists envisioned how those brave traders and adventure seekers as well as diplomats travelled through vast deserts of Mongolia and what they encountered while travelling. While the significance of the Silk Road is unquestionable and many countries might have created their works to illustrate that,Mongolians, eternal neighbors of the road, wanted to depict everyday life of the desert/Gobi people, nomadic lifestyle and camels, the best transportation at the time. Mongolian civilization was very different from what modern people would imagine. Without virtually any urbanization, states prospered,states died at the behest of the ultimate judge, i.e, the time,leaving little to survive and to be studied. But in art, anything can be reconstructed with artists’ vast imagination, talent and hard work, leaving one to wonder and to amaze. Since our nation was a nomadic one, our artists wanted to highlight that with their own unique contemporary techniques. Visitors of the Mongolian pavilion will experience rainbow colors of the light reflected on sand dunes from the artworks. Every artwork will be full of rich colors and lit because we wanted to show our visitors the colors of the past in the light of the present.
