As we all agree, the Silk Road is a valuable asset for all human beings.Four major ancient civilizations have emerged and flourished along the Silk Road. The Silk Road areas cover three continents and oceans, more than 100 nations and 75%of the world’s population.
In addition, another im portance of the Silk Road lies in its spiritual value and the lessons we can learn from its history. These can be summarized in three sentences:(1)Individual differences should be recognized and acknow ledged as cause for celebration rather than segregation.(2)Diversity is beauty,a source of strength and a sign of vitality and human flourishing.(3)Central to peaceful coexistence and prosperity of all human beings are mutual understanding, consideration for others as well as collective action. How terrible and utterly mundane would it be if every individual, every culture, every city and every village was the same as the other! The beauty and wonder that we w itness in our daily lives is derived from the differences among the members that make up this world.
The S ilk Road is a valuable asset for all human beings
