        In the beginning of August, Chongqing Port Office has published the newest Chongqing's port construction situation. The fi rst-class port of Chongqing has increased to four from three, and the regional distribution is more reasonable. The pleasing performance got by Chongqing's port construction will help export-oriented economic development of Chongqing further, and drive the balanced development of some areas of Chongqing. At the same time, the surrounding provinces and districts are launching port construction like a raging fire, and a port group which is taking Chongqing as center, Chongqing's main districts and Wanzhou of Chongqing as the core has the prospect to take shape.

        lt announced that Chongqing has built up four national fi rst-class ports

        Chongqing Port Office has been published formally in the beginning of August that Chongqing has built up 7 ports and10 places that has the function of port up to the first half of 2016, and these ports and places can provide imported automobile, fruits, meat and other 16 functions. The ports and places include four national first-class ports, such as, Jiangbei International Airport, Wanzhou Airport, Water transport port of Port of Chongqing, Railway port of Tuanjie Village, three national second-class ports, such as, Wanzhou water transport, Fuling water transport, and Shangqingsi Postal Service, four operating wharfs for foreign trade, such as, Xingang, Changshou chemical engineering, Yongchuan Liwen, and Jiangjin Jiulong paper mill wharfs, and six bonded functional zone, such as, Lianglu Cuntan bonded port area, Xiyong comprehensive bonded zone, Railway B bonded zone of Tuanjie Village, B bonded area of Nanpeng highway, A bonded zone of Wanzhou District, and bonded navigating oil depot of Jiangbei Airport.

        At the same time, Chongqing has 16 designated ports and expanding function, which include the designated port for importing 8 kinds of special commodity, such as, carload, ice and fresh aquatic product, fruits, meat, Australian beef, edible aquatic animal, wood, food, 5 special functions of Jiangbei Airport, such as, port landing visa endorsement, replacement of 5-year Taiwan compatriot entry permit, duty-free shop of passing in and out, 3 port pilot projects of expanding business, such as, the pilot project of cross border trade e-commerce service, comprehensive pilot site of cross border trade e-commerce, and trade diversifi cation pilot project.

        Obviously, the ports and facilities of the water transport port of port of Chongqing in the fi rst-class port, the water transport port of Wanzhou and Fuling in the second-class port, four operating wharves for foreign trade, such as, Xingang, Changshou chemical engineering, Yongchuan Liwen, and Jiangjin Jiulong paper mill wharfs, and Lianglu Cuntan bonded port area, A bonded zone of Wanzhou District are laid out surrounding the Yangtze River, and after completing all of these ports, the way along the Yangtze River of Chongqing and every open platform on land of Chongqing will achieve a higher-standard connectivity, and the distance between Chongqing and Europe, even the distance between central area of China and Europe will be shortened further.

        Wanzhou District will become the new economic hot spot of Chongqing's port

        In the newest report card of Chongqing's port construction, the biggest watching focus should be the Wanzhou Airport, the new-added national first-class port, and the Wanzhou water transport port and A bonded area of Wanzhou District, the national second-class port in the Wanzhou District. In terms of the geographic position, the existing ports of Chongqing almost center on Chongqing main districts or surrounding districts or counties of the main districts, except for the above 3 ports, and the apart highway mileage has exceeded 300 miles, which roughly is equivalent to the distance from the downtown area of Chongqing to Chengdu and Guiyang, the two surrounding provincial capital.         Sichuan, Guizhou, Hunan have put great efforts to build ports

        At present, Sichuan only has two national first-class ports, that is, Shuangliu International Airport and Qingbaijiang Railway Logistics Center. Sichuan has pointed out clearly that Sichuan will build inland open highland, broadening the regional advantages of “silk road in the left hand, Yangtze River in the right hand”, constructing the port system of trinity of “water, land and air”. The other 2 non water transport fi rst-class ports are Wuhan Airport and Sanxia Airport (Yichang), which are two air harbors in the two important cities along the Yangtze River of Hubei; Hunan, the other eastern neighbor of Chongqing has put forward the construction goal of port platform of “two air three water thirteen land”, and by 2017 it aims to form a “walking out” service platform system of covering the key countries along the “One Belt and One Road”. The distance between Zhangjiajie aviation port which is being built actively, Huaihua Railway port and Chongqing is basically equivalent to even less than the distance of local place to the main districts of Chongqing. Although Guizhou province, the southern neighbor of Chongqing only has one fi rst-class port, Guiyang Longdongbao at present, this province is building a new fi rstclass aviation port, the Zunyi Xinzhou Airport in Zunyi, which is more than 300 miles away from Chongqing.

        In the radius of 300 miles far away from the main districts and Wanzhou, there appear several emerging ports, and a port group which is taking Chongqing as center, Chongqing's main districts and Wanzhou of Chongqing as the core has the prospect to take shape. Chongqing will usher in a new age to deeply launch port cooperation and achieve common development with the surrounding provinces.

        Port economy is making Chongqing integrate into the world quickly
