        Anyang Textile & Clothing Fair made its debut

        2016 China ? Anyang Textile & Clothing Fair concluded its three-day event on June 19th in Anyang International Convention and Exhibition Center, covering an area of 5,000 square meters and attracting more than 220 exhibitors. Themed on “cross-border cooperation & win-win development”, the fair aimed to expand the market, increase effectiveness, and seek for cooperation and development, so as to upgrade and transform the traditional textile and garment industries as well as traditional commercial channels.

        Sponsored by the Anyang Municipal Government, the fair was particularly supported by such industry associations and enterprises as China Knitting Industry Association, Henan Textile Industry Association, Xinxiang Bailu Chemical Fiber Group Co., Ltd., and Fongs National Engineering(Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.

        According to Du Xinjun, the deputy mayor of Anyang Municipal Government, Anyang is a famous city of knitwear in China, including 4,025 textile enterprises which have constructed a complete industrial chain of textile, dyeing & printing, garment and specialized markets, with an annual output of 110,000 tons of cotton yarns, 210,000 tons of loom-state fabrics, 200,000 tons of knitted dyeing and printing cloth, more than 900 million pieces of knitted garments, and main business in- come of over 15 billion yuan. In 2013, the abovedesignated industrial enterprises saw a total sales output value of 5.7 billion yuan, an increase of 40.4%, with respective 57.4% and 35.2% growth in 2014 and 2015.

        The 13th Five-Year Program for National Economic and Social Development of Anyang City points out “For the textile and garment industrial cluster, it is a must to further optimize the industrial layout and resource allocation, to integrate and restructure the dyeing enterprises towards advantageous regions, and to introduce both domestic and overseas leading textile and garment enterprises, so that the textile industrial chain would be improved to enjoy a high-end, special and brandingoriented development.” No doubt, 2016 China ? Anyang Textile & Clothing Fair is a major act to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of Anyang textile and garment industry.

        During the opening ceremony, ten brands from different enterprises were awarded “Excellent Brands in Chinas Knitwear Famous City(Anyang)”, followed by contract signing of several major projects.

        The fair was highlighted in various aspects, for example, a boutique hall was specially set to collectively show the excellent products from well-known textile and garment enterprises, while the catwalk show gave a visual enjoyment to the visitors. In addition, Alibaba ? Anyang Industrial Belt Textile & Clothing Fair and “Internet + Textile & Garment” activities were also opened during the fair.

        2016 China ? (Anyang) Knitted Kidswear Industry Forum was also held during the fair, which was highlighted with related reports including“China Knitting Industry Performance and Development Trend” from Yang Jichao, Vice President of China National Textile and Apparel Council & President of China Knitting Industry Association,“Knitted Kidswear Status Quo and Development Trend” from Professor Zhang Peihua of Donghua University, “One-stop Sustainable Solutions to the Dyeing of Knitted Fabrics” from Dr. Zhang Wangsun, Specialist of Fongs, and “Interpretation to the New National Standards for Knitted Kidswear and Matters Needing Attention” from Li Hong, Deputy Director, Industry Consulting Department, China Knitting Industry Association & Deputy Secretary General, Knitting Branch, China National Standardization Technical Committee.

        As an industry event staged in the beginning of the 13th Five-Year Program period, 2016 China? Anyang Textile & Clothing Fair, featured in both trading and specialty, will play a role as a business platform, a link between the upstream and downstream industries, as well as a stage to exhibit technological innovation and brand building.
