Born in Dunhuang City， Gansu Province in the 1970s， Li Jianying graduated from Xian Academy of Fine Arts， Southwest University and Central Academy of Fine Arts successively. Now he is a member of Chinese Artists Association， deputy secretarygeneral of Gansu Artists Association， director of Artists Alliance of China， Japan and ROK， and president of Dunhuang Academy of Chinese Traditional Paintings etc. He has held many solo exhibitions at home and abroad and won grand prizes. Many of his artworks have been collected by famous organizations and individuals.

李建英70年代初生于敦煌，自幼學(xué)習(xí)繪畫(huà)，畢業(yè)于張掖師專(zhuān)美術(shù)系，先后進(jìn)修于西安美院、西南大學(xué)美術(shù)系、“文化部重彩畫(huà)高研班”、中央美院。

現(xiàn)為中國(guó)美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)員，甘肅省美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)副秘書(shū)長(zhǎng)，中日韓三國(guó)美術(shù)家聯(lián)盟理事，敦煌國(guó)畫(huà)院院長(zhǎng)，國(guó)家一級(jí)美術(shù)師，“敦煌畫(huà)派”本土代表性人物。

作品《飛天》獲2003年北京國(guó)際藝術(shù)博覽會(huì)金獎(jiǎng)。國(guó)畫(huà)《心燈》入選“朝圣敦煌”第二屆全國(guó)美術(shù)作品展，并被中國(guó)美術(shù)家協(xié)會(huì)、敦煌市人民政府授予“弘揚(yáng)敦煌文化杰出成就獎(jiǎng)”。

個(gè)人畫(huà)展先后在日本、美國(guó)、德國(guó)、法國(guó)、荷蘭、比利時(shí)、意大利、中國(guó)臺(tái)灣和香港、北京、蘭州等地舉辦。個(gè)人傳略被載入《敦煌印象》一書(shū)。

多幅作品被甘肅省委、省政府、敦煌市委、市政府等選送贈(zèng)予國(guó)家領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人和國(guó)際知名人士收藏。
