On June 14th, 2016, the Founding Conference of CAFFCI Society of Cosmetic Scientists was held in Shanghai. More than 300 cosmetics scientists, from all over China attended the conference.

Mrs. Min Huang, deputy director of Department of Drug and Cosmetics Supervision, China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA); Mr. Chengdong Yi,deputy director-general of Shanghai FDA; Mr. Shaojun Chen, president of China Association of Fragrance Flavour and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI); Mr.Wanxu Wang, president of China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry (RIDCI); Mrs. Zhaofan Xia,member of Chinese Academay of Engineering (CAE);Mr. Yuliang Liu, president of CAFFCI Society of Cosmetic Scientists, attended the opening ceremony.The representatives from JALA Group Co., Shanghai Jahwa United Co., Ltd., Shanghai Inoherb Cosmetics Co., Ltd., PROYA Cosmetics Co., Ltd., OSM Biology Co., Ltd., Mingchen Health Corp. Ltd., Guangzhou Base Clean Cosmetics Manufacturer Co., Ltd., Beijing Rimeng Biologic Technology Co., Ltd., Nox Bellcow Cosmetics Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Chicmax Cosmetics Co., Ltd., came together to witness the opening ceremony.

Opening Ceremony

Dr. Yuliang Liu, president of CAFFCI Society(hereinafter referred to as the Society) of Cosmetic Scientists, gave a speech at the conference. He pointed out the major tasks of the Society. First, the Society will popularize cosmetic science, and help consumers understand what the cosmetics are. Second, the Society will try to establish R&D management system and strategic layout, in order to strengthen China’s industry R&D. Third, the Society will lead the development of cosmetic industry through establishing and enhancing international communication and cooperation.

CAFFCI Society of Cosmetic Scientists reached a strategic partnership with China Detergent & Cosmetics,which will be one of the international academic exchange windows for the Society. The Society will encourage members to Submit articles to introduce the research results of China’s cosmetics and the status of industry’s development.

The members gained the Papers of 28thIFSCC International Congress in Chinese, translated and edited by the Society.
