Cosmoprof Asia, the leading beauty event in the Asia-Pacific region, will (held) its 21stedition in 2016 across two venues. From 15 to 17 November at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) Packaging, Contract Manufacturing,Private Label, Machinery and Equipment will be on stage;from 16 to 18 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) spotlights will be on Cosmetics & Toiletries, Natural Health, Beauty Salon, Hair Salon, Nail & Accessories. Cosmoprof Asia will welcome more exhibitors offering a larger variety of initiatives and innovative contents for all professionals visiting the show.In the coming November, more than 2,700 exhibitors and 60,000 visitors are expected to attend the exhibition, with the area of 98,000 sqm. The international presence will be helmed by 23 national and group pavilions including France, Germany, Israel, Turkey, Korea, Japan, and firsttime comers Greece, Latvia and Romania.
Innovation will be the common theme for both venues, with special areas dedicated to professionals and companies. Asia World-Expo, which will host the whole beauty industry, will present a lot of initiatives,such as Innovation Circle Awards, the first edition of a competition for the most innovative products of the supply chain. Companies specialized in packaging solutions and contract manufacturers can participate and they will be divided according to 6 categories: Best Product Design—Color Cosmetics, Best Product design—Nail,Best Product design—Skin Care, Best Product Design—Hair, Best Primary Packaging Design and Best Secondary Packaging Design. To ensure the high quality standard of participants, the contest will be curated by Beautystreams,the renowned trend forecasting agency, which will select the nominations inspired by the trend story of “l(fā)egends”.Winners will be named by an international jury of beauty experts with an awards ceremony on 15 November.
Exclusive to Cosmoprof Asia, a new section “Spotlight on Ingredients” will be located at AWE to host exhibitors of ingredients, fragrances, testing, lab equipment and regulatory solutions, providing an ideal networking and sourcing platform for formulators, R&D personnel,business development and marketing professionals.
Innovation will be the main inspiration of the Extraordinary Gallery at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The most exclusive area of Cosmoprof Asia will host selected brands and companies which stand out for their creativity and technological approach.Visitors will have a complete beauty experience; together with product display, Extraordinary Gallery will host a press area, bloggers station and a buyers lounge for the B2B meetings between companies and buyers attending the exhibition. Extraordinary Gallery Summit will present workshops and demonstrations dedicated to beauty luxury products, trends and market analysis. Also in HKCEC, “Discover Trends” on level 3 is dedicated to products from emerging segments, including baby care,natural & organic and men’s care.
Other initiatives will enrich the program of Cosmoprof Asia 2016. For the first time, The Lipstick Factory will be on stage: a made in Italy installation showing the production steps of one of the most historic cosmetic products, the lipstick. The project will be supported by the Italian Ministry of the Economic Development and ITA—Italian Trade Agency, in collaboration with Cosmetica Italia—Personal Care Association. Boutique, the charity campaign of Cosmoprof Asia, will return for the third time. Visitors will have the opportunity to buy travel size products of selected exhibiting companies, for a suggested donation to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.
The International Buyer Programme (IBP), Cosmoprof Asia’s exclusive buyer recruitment campaign, will expand its scale in 2016 with more quality buyers invited from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Philippines,Thailand, Turkey, UAE and Vietnam, maximising the business opportunities for exhibitors and professional buyers. Match & Meet, the buyer-seller online matching system, will enable buyers and exhibitors to prearrange meetings to take place during the show.
