Hualian Zinc&Indium Started Construction

On May 5, 2016, Hualian Zinc&Indium company held a grand kickoff ceremony for 100,000 t/a zinc and 60 t/a indium sm elting technology upgrading project at the Dahao Industrial Park Zone in Maguan County. At the ceremony, Niu Hui, Secretary of the company’s CPC Co mmittee and Chairman, delivered speech, he mentioned that Hualian Zinc&Indium 100,000 t/a zinc & 60 t/a indium smelting technology upgrading project is a“Four One Hundred” key construction project of Yunnan province, with an estimated total investment of 2.116 billion yuan, the raw material is 100% self supply, the project adopts the most cutting-edge “SO2 reduction leaching + hematite process” in China, af ter completion it will have advantages and features of “environmental friendliness, lowest energy consumption, and high integrated utilization rate”. This project marks a key measure by the company to further extend product industrial chain, and improve resource integrated utilization standard and market competitiveness, a con crete action f or us to create Yunnan industry upgrading version, it offers powerful support for consolidating foundation of regional nonferrous m etals deep processing industry, and the “Capital of indium” construction for Maguan County in the next step and enhancin g Wenshan Prefecture’s mining developm ent standard.
