On Love

Though his ways are hard and steep.

And when he speaks to you，believe in him，

Though his voice may shatter④shatter 英 ［'??t?］ 美 ［'??t?］ vt. 粉碎；打碎；破壞；破掉；使散開vi. 粉碎；損壞；落葉 n. 碎片；亂七八糟的狀態(tài)your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.

Love possesses not nor would it be possessed；

For love is sufficient unto⑤unto 英 ［'?nt?］ 美 ［'?nt?］ prep. 到，直到；向（等于to）love.

當(dāng)愛召喚你時(shí)，跟隨他，

雖然他的道路艱難險(xiǎn)峻。

而當(dāng)他的翅膀環(huán)抱你時(shí)，依從他吧，

盡管羽翼中藏著的利刃可能會(huì)傷害你。

當(dāng)他同你講話時(shí)信任他，

盡管他的言語(yǔ)會(huì)粉碎你的夢(mèng)幻，就

像北風(fēng)吹荒了花園。

愛所給的僅是他自己，他所帶走的也僅是他自己。

愛不占有也不愿被占有；

因?yàn)閷?duì)愛而言，愛已足夠。
